Has anyone mentioned that Dougall got his FOURTH booking today?

One away from a suspension already, and it's only mid-September.

Maybe that's why he got taken off today - anyone there confirm what he was playing like? Perhaps teams are deliberately winding him up, or maybe he's just got too short a fuse.

Whatever it is we are going to lose him again soon. That's a very poor record in so few games.

I was there & tbh didn’t notice he got booked again. He was poor today though....his most ineffective game by far.

    He didn't get taken off.

Too much p!ssing about at the back though, Dougall and Pinnock being the prime suspects and Dougall also outmuscled by Cov's midgets quite a bit today. Definite booking today, unlike one or two of his others. Seemed to me like Australia had sent us a different bloke back today than his other performances.

And Ethan - you're not John Stones, mate. You're a left-footed centre half playing on the right side and when you fanny about with it you look like Bambi on ice.

Hopefully more games he plays in this country, the more he learns how to avoid such regular bookings. At this rate he will get a two match ban for ten yellows, way before Christmas.

He was poor today. Could have got a red instead of a yellow.

The foul he got booked for was a yellow card offence nothing more. He pulled the player back as he ran passed him. Dougal wasn’t the last man so can’t see why a red card could’ve been considered. If refs start giving a straight red for this type of offence few teams would finish the game with 11 players

Don’t have a problem with it. He’s a holding midfielder, he’ll get booked plenty if he’s trying to do his job & win tackles. Only an issue if he gets them for dissent or rowing with opposition players

Last man isn't the rule. Denying a clear and obvious goal scoring opportunity is I believe so he was 10 yards inside his own half spot was never in danger.

If he manages to get through the next 3 without a booking then a tactical booking may come into play for the international weekend in October.

Bet he was still jet lagged at Cov. Well off the pace, felt like we were playing with 10 men

Apparrently he was back at the club training on Tuesday. Perhaps he just had a relatively poor game. It happens.

Well it was he did have two weeks between games that might not have helped too. But as you say people do just have bad games.

Only had 3 bookings in league games. Booking at Blackpool doesn't count towards league suspensions, they only count towards Cup, rule change from this season.

Yes, he is the covering player & is going to get cards, especially when we are playing high up the park.
We do need to have cover for him. I hope Bird is given the chance, I think he is the post suited to the position.

To be honest im not too worried about bookings. We will get some and maybe even get a suspension or two but last season we had no physicality at all let alone anything we could call needless. The thing lacking as a bit of bite alongside and I think we have missed Potts workrate to help out. Maybe when he is back and with Bahre available too we might be able to share the yellows about a bit more

The three Dougall bookings I have seen were for late tackles from behind with the ball well beyond his reach .
They were pointless petulant actions which I hope der management have told him to stop .

Isn't that called "taking one for the team?" Better that than CB having to dive in with a challenge in the area. Pointless bookings are for dissent, retaliation, throwing the ball away, etc
