https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/spo...ews/efl-wealthiest-club-owners-ranked-2025589 Obviously we know our owners aren't pumping the same money in as some of the others, but interesting nonetheless considering Aston Villa are ranked first and their owner is struggling to get his money out of China (or something along those lines).
Our boards the wealthiest in the football league when you take into consideration the Indian guy. Isn't it around £13 billion?
It would be interesting to see a league table of clubs wealth , I think we would be mid table but that is just a pure guess.
Did the new owners buy the ground as well? In other words does the football club own the ground? Just wondered with all the recent titivation that's gone off around the stadium.
still can't get used to seeing those numbers bandied about in relation to us. A lot of people I speak to haven't a clue about our owners or their wealth, and when I tell them, some assume that we're going to become big spenders.
There lies the problem my friend , fans making assumptions that we are going to be big spenders, where the truth so far is what exactly the new owners have said ,which is basically to keep the model moving along as it was with the previous regime & make a gradual progression without throwing money at it .
Wouldn't put too much faith in the figures in this article. According to Hull Live QPR's owners Tony Fernandes and Lakshmi Mittal are worth 345 million. One very quick google search lists Mittal as being the CEO o the worlds largest steel company and a worth of 17 Billion Dollars.
Speaking of assumptions, we were all guessing at the time of the takeover. Some were for it, others against. All pretty much based on how it had gone elsewhere, with a bit of fear for our identity chucked in.
To be honest although we dropped last season, I think green shoots of progress under the new owners are evident & so far so good for me .
