i was fairly ambivalent about them winning the September Championship two years in a row, but then I saw this: Now I hope they fold.
Work in Leeds and surrounded by em, they’re unbearable at the moment. Before every match they all have a score predictions. Always a win and something like 2-0, 3-0 or 3-1. Monday they were discussing Millwall, and how they won’t have to play them next season as Leeds will be back in the premier league. Be champions league in 2 years time no doubt. I did remind them of the month, with it still being September. But no, ‘this time’ its different as they have a proper manager they say. Apart from 1 who may go to 3-4 games a season, none of others have been for years. No need really when there’s the Sky Sports Leeds channel.
I know a few that last season reckoned they were Huddersfield fans, but they have soon reverted back to being Leeds fans now they have won promotion.
The two Yorkshire "Giants" Leeds & Wednesday, still stuck in the 90s. Sometimes l wish they'd get promoted so they can see how far behind they are the proper big clubs and how footballs moved on.
They'll still be top (or thereabouts) at Christmas but will fall off a cliff from February onwards as their squad will be utterly knackered with the amount of work Bielsa has them doing. If they are up there at the turn of the new year I'm definitely going to short them on sporting index.
****. me. If it's possible I hate them even more now. I hope they self destruct and implode. Every single one of them.
I live in Headingley. There are f-all Leeds fans here. Was in Woodies Ale House watching the Liverpool game and the Leeds match was the other side of a partition in the pub. Five times more people watching Liverpool.
Got more than their fair share of ******** followers, but me personally if wed av ad any musicians on the terraces could we av dun any better. Louis Walsh would av golden ticketed this.
The Leeds fans i know (un it's definitely Leeds territory) actually go every week and are ok and have respect for Barnsley, but others i meet are terrible but don't go!!!!
I play cricket with a few in Wakefield and have the same experience, them that actually go and know their stuff are dead reyt and are actually just enjoying this season and hoping it doesn't fall apart from them rather than expecting too much. The ones that don't go are usually a bit more arrogant about it.
