I suspect it is someone connected with one of the clubs then as they probably would not be a clear state of mind to play a game of football if it was one of their own.

Without wanting to appear insensitive, and tragic though the situation is, given the knock on effect for travelling fans, team, rearranging fixtures etc. sudden illness of a single person, if a fan, however serious, rarely leads to a sporting or entertainment event being cancelled unless others are impacted. Obviously though, everyone's thoughts should be with the man and his family and friends at this time.

Surprised it was called off. Found it insensitive for us to keep playing music whilst the poor person was getting treatment. Disrespectful too the Ponty End chanting songs during it too. On the plus side Air Ambulance turned up. If it was a fatality they wouldn't have called for that with the price they cost to run.

Know what your saying but In a similar thread. The music wasn’t loud and was instrumental in not making the place a morgue. As in the first ten minutes. As for the Ponty end it was a very small minority and why would you be surprised it was called off without knowing the reason. Other than the players not wishing to play. As was said over the tannoy

Only thing I have ever agreed with you with dreamboy, why carry on playing music when someone is seriously ill on the pitch?

Same as the news yesterday that Chico (from X-Factor years ago) had a stroke yesterday and is in a bad way. He's a fitness fanatic apparently and is 2 years younger than me. Very sobering thought. Cherish your health - you just never know when it will be snatched off you.
