Some poor family are having the trauma of watching someone they love probably pass and we're giving it a sound track!

It's a difficult call. If I were waiting for an ambulance for somebody I loved, I'm not sure I'd want 12,000 people sitting in complete silence watching me.

There isn't a right or wrong

This is awful. Watching on iFollow and the air-ambulance has just landed 30 minutes after collapse seems long time for an ambulance to reach Oakwell. Surely an ordinary ambulance from Barnsley general could have made it faster. In any case isn't there an ambulance normally on standby at the ground?

OK I know nothing about these medical protocols but it seems really strange that over 30 minutes after the incident the patient is still pitch side. An ambulance could have had him in intensive care by now at Barnsley general. Do air ambulances carry any extra specialist equipment over and above a road vehicle?

They'll be taking him straight to Nor Gen if it's a cardiac arrest.

No but if they want to take him to Sheffield/Leeds, if he needs specialist care, a chopper is quicker. Maybe Barnsley can’t take anyone at the mo, wouldn’t be the first time

Guess it depends on what the problem is.

Are they best waiting and taking the patient straight to Leeds or another specialist hospital rather than Barnsley and then having to sort a transfer later?

Couldn’t hear any music in west, so perhaps only played it in ponty/east

It's a Burton fan according to Clem on Final Score.

Disagree. Total disgrace playing music. You drive into a graveyard and turn the radio off in your vehicle for respect. You wouldn't start playing music in a hospital to pass the time. Someone was in a real bad way and we are playing Keane and Robbie chuffing Williams whilst people are crying and being consoled in a time of crisis.

There is no right decision. Turn the music off and all thry will have heard was thousands of people muttering and gossiping about their loved one. Leave it on at a reduced volume and people complain they can hear that too. Short of kicking everyone out of the ground immediately there was no way to reduce the issue if noise.

When a person could be dying I don't think to myself that what I need is to listen to It's A Sin by Pet Shop Boys.

You're missing the point. I don't think music was played to entertain us

think we’ve got your point. Everyone’s disrespectful except you. It’s quite disrespectful to carry on like you are and broadcasting.

Bit different playing it into wards for people. Don't think they play it anywhere people are fighting for their life. But keep trying to win points in a argument you're in the wrong in as you know what I was saying.
