Oh my goodness no. I used to sit with him, his wife and son and his brother Mick and his family from about 2005 until about 2012. I'm really shocked and I hope that the care he is receiving will enable him to recover.

There's no good time or place to have a heart attack, but having one in a football stadium is a fairly good guarantee of getting immediate and good intervention. Here's hoping that saves his life and he's on the mend as soon as possible.

    Happy to read this.

After seeing what was happening and the game being called off, I really thought the chap had gone.

Hoping a speedy recovery is now forthcoming

I was thinking same earlier, if that had happened at home he would of had alot less chance of survival. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Me too. Absolutely outstanding work from the medical professionals. If this chap has had any "luck" today it's that it happened where it did.

Watching them do the chest compressions after just explaining them to my lad (they had dummies in the East Stand if not all) and then seeing those blankets and his family on all fours on the pitch - urgh, still playing it over. Great news that he's still got a fighting chance.

Makes you realise how insignificant my job is after watching those guys (and gals) today.

Hope he is feeling on top form again soon, made me feel physically sick that someone could be dieing infront of us all.was even driving home in a dither ,not really concentrating on road, luckily got home with no incident,my young son said to me "how can you just be here, then next gone",first time he really thought about anything like that, said "that's life son, just enjoy every day best you can, because you never know",my son is so pleased the chap as not passed away and is being cared for in hospital, I echo his thoughts, well done all those who helped save him and all the fans who showed such respect and understanding today

Burton Albion fans, staff, manager and players deserve much credit.

To be honest I found it very upsetting and just wanted to get out of the ground,it would have been wrong on so many levels to play that game I,m surprised they let us sit there for nearly an hour watching it unfold.

Totally agree. Whatever anyone’s thoughts on the response. The ambulance appeared and everyone put two and two together and came up with 5.. the helicopter was the choice of the emergency services and the guy is still alive nuff said. Best wishes on a full recovery.

I know him from my lad going to junior supporters meetings & him being a mascot. Really nice fella. Hope he’s going to be ok.
