    I just think the £450 dj thing wasn’t the best starting point

    The bottom line for me is some things are bigger than football and this is one of them. Ambulance response times are an issue though - if this happened in a family home with no medical experts on hand as I said we know the outcome.

    There's a safety advisory board made of the various parties that make sure that all the appropriate risks etc are mitigated including making sure an ambulance is on site. This board includes Council, South Yorkshire Police, the club etc etc. The club would rather have less police in the stadium but they must adhere to what the advisory board (and SYP) suggest is necessary. Without agreement on policing the game just doesn't go ahead.

    Thanks for the clarification. When I said that clubs care more about police I didn't mean clubs it was the wrong word, I meant those in charge of allowing games to go ahead. No idea why I used the word clubs when after a great conversation with Steve Bailey I knew full well how it works.

    No I mean moving the actual ambulance from outside the stand to inside the ground wasn't a priority as he wouldn't be moved until they had him stable. The focus was on that at first not on moving the ambulance straight away

    I think the OP was phrased badly but John Peachy is a geniune bloke.

    Football is not life but it makes life worth living. I've had a few beers but I want to say best wishes to all my fellow reds - that includes people on here I like and people I don't.
