JP you know your post wasn't worded well but many knew the point you were trying to make. However you also gave out some unnecessary abuse so just move on and ignore those giving it, they will soon find something else to occupy their attention. You are a good poster in my opinion and the BBS needs good posters.
As was said on that thread, I think the first sentence was a big mistake in your post, which is a pity because the actual point you then made was a valid point of view and worth discussion/debate.
Don't blame you. The board is dying because it's got on too many abusive posters who get personal when they don't agree with an alternative view and then we end up losing a good poster. Stick around.

Haha wouldn't want to watch the local team apart from next season when we meet them in the championship. You wouldn't know at times on here that we all support the same club and are apparently adults. I can see why so many good posters have had enough and left the board. It's a shame really and harder than ever to get people to post on a forum of rules, when they can post through Facebook or Twitter anything they wish without likely getting banned.
Offence was clearly caused to some by your post but I have no doubt, in light of your posting history, that it was unintentional. It appears to be the modern way to over react to perceived transgressions, opinions indelicately expressed, there existing a tendency to dramatise, make more of it, whip up a scandal. There seems to be no sense of proportion, no room for a measured response. Slightest suggestion of blood in the water and the sharks are circling. Pound of flesh, heads must roll, jobs lost, life bans, public shaming, people cast out as pariahs. None of it necessary in most cases and this is a prime example. I enjoy your posts and many of the tunes you put on and would be sorry to see you go. I also agree with others that the vitriol comes from a noisy minority.

Having just read your opening post on the thread you created peachy, I’m not surprised some went at you. I haven’t read the whole thread, but I’d argue saying that you were gutted as you’d spent £450 getting there as part of the post wasn’t just clumsy, it was downright insensitive and took away anything of value in whatever point you were trying to make.
