    I've been thinking.

Yesterday could have been a whole lot different.

Why don't we do a football tournament to raise money for the Air ambulance unit?

That's a great idea, whether it's a football tournament or something else. We had one of the first air ambulances in the country in Lincolnshire where I grew up, and from what I remember the running costs are astronomical. Every little definitely helps.

I think collecting buckets at the next match would give fans the chance to show their appreciation to what is a marvellous cause.

Good idea. I am at the fan engagement meeting on Wednesday when all the official and unofficial supporters clubs attend.I will bring it up. The lot that I represent would get a team together but mainly owd codgers including me. So if the others are up for it. “Take it easy on us”

Like that idea, I would certianly try and get a team together to join.

Myself and my colleague have had the idea that the club could commision its own real ale in honour of the service that could be sold in the ground on matchdays. Some or all of the profits from this could then be donated to the service. I thought it was very fitting of recent weeks with the beer festival being so recent and then the events of Saturday. Would hopefully be able to raise good money for the service and also give the fans a good beer to drink on a matchday.

Could make it a bit tasty and invite amateur teams from our neighbouring massives as the Air Ambulance covers the whole of Yorkshire.

Great idea asking fans off other forums. As for for booking collection, i think it should be done at the rearranged Burton game.

Let's all put our heads together and do this. It just doesn't have to be for the Air ambulance unit, it could be for mental health, cancer, British heart foundation etc. We can all make a difference

Was thinking possibly Doncaster away on push bike ground to ground. To be honest I am quite over weight so this could be a excuse to do exercise just looked on Google maps 20 miles n average time is 1hr 41 minutes think this could be do able

Just as long as the air ambulance doesn't get another call out!

Good luck mate I'm also not the slimmest but gradually training to do 10km (running I'd hope I could cycle that far already!) At the start I felt like I needed every ambulance under the sun one mile in, but after a few weeks I'm already managing distances non-stop that I couldn't have imagined possible. And of course I'm getting back into old pairs of jeans I thought were destined to gather dust in the wardrobe forever. Keep at it!
