It would be a feat of some proportions to screw up the economy more than the Tories have this last 8 years.

Some of those wouldn't be so bad if wages were rising to keep up with the rate of inflation or we were paying more for an improved service but we are going backwards and paying far more to do it.

That makes me feel so much better as I pack my child off each day to a secondary school which is falling apart while government money goes into under subscribed "free schools". Never mind criticizing the theoretical spending of a future Labour government, I think the scandal of actual spending by this government deserves scrutiny.

I struggle to understand people who slag off Labour under Corbyn offering hope and prosperity and an alternative to austerity whilst the current Tory government have trebled the national debt all while giving billions away in tax cuts to their mates.

The state the NHS our education system and railways are in should surely have got people to see through the government and want change but they seem blinded by the right wing media and the smear campaigns that have been printed in an effort to protect themselves from a Labour government.

How much gold did they actually sell? Next to nothing - financial Times said they were right to sell off the gold as there is very little point countries hanging onto gold reserves.

Strange conversation is never about selling off state owned industries at rock bottom prices.

You’re quite right, a lot of people do want change from this bunch of shysters that are currently in. The blatantly obvious problem is that there isn’t a single credible alternative. Not one

The question is where is all the money going to come from when labour has paid for free tuition fees, free bus travel and end all the cuts

Not making any political point here, but those figures don't look remotely feasible.

Anyone who wants even 10 more minutes of this particular Tory government needs their head checking.

I'm not saying Labour is the answer but at least they're more progressive than the Tories and they're willing to tax the **** out of people and companies that can afford it.

A comment that could have come straight from The Sun, or an ‘unbiased’ debate on bbc or sky.

There it is, is the single reason, the only one, that labour may not win the next election.

Not that McDonnell is a Marxist. But that about 90% of the media are hell bent on brainwashing the public about the ‘dangers’ of labour.

To think that anybody would think John McDonnell, praised by leading economists in the city, backed by independent research done by the bloody Archbishop of Canterbury, and the only person willing to have an idea for a plan for change; is more ‘dangerous’ than the likes of Boris Johnson, and in particular Jacob Rees-Mogg, baffles me.

That lunatic seems a likely future leader - and so possible future PM. This government has taken us back fifty years. He’d make it 200.

The biggest danger in this country is the biased news outlets. In brainwashing against labour, they are trying to keep the tories strong. But the country have had enough, years and years of austerity, cuts, loss of services, loss of wages, lower standards of living, have led to increased borrowing, bigger national debt. How? Where has it gone? I think we can all guess. A good 90% or more of us haven’t seen it.

So because The Sun tells us labour are mugs and dangerous, you get increased support for radicals. Look at the support for Yaxley-Lennon. Now he is dangerous.

We could very soon be overran with extreme far-right bigots ruling the roost, the likes that would make even Rees-Mogg look like a centrist moderate.

The Brexit vote was a cry for change. The current government have used it as an excuse to be more extreme in the same direction. We have a perfect storm of Brexit, which we’ve done to death but I’m still convinced it’s an absolute disaster, coupled with a hard-right and going further right Thatcherite fuelled Tory administration ripping the heart out of the country and ruining the futures of our kids. Unless you happen to have been born into money; unless you have at least tens of millions stashed and don’t use state schools, the nhs and public transport for example, you aren’t benefiting from this lot.

But there’s plenty, a lot of which living on not a lot, a lot of which who were and are still convinced Brexit was a good idea, a lot of which would never vote Tory due to past actions, who will believe the agenda against the Labour Party. So where does their vote go? UKIP, bnp, the National front maybe? Possibly. Or they won’t vote at all - just as dangerous.

The Scots won’t vote labour anymore. They give us a boat load of SNP MPs, who are essentially socialists with labour ideologies but with the caveat of keeping labour out of power and trying to get independence. Even though they voted against it, they still want it. As though a major referendum could perhaps be revisited if the public were more educated on the consequences and their future and might change their mind? Interesting thought.

But their presence means labour have to take swathes of England from the Tories. A very tough ask; one which I don’t think the rags and tv outlets will allow.
