I’m all for marketing and trying to build a brand etc etc but... Not sure I like the idea of BFC promoting the brands of millionaire tax dodging Tory donors. BFC promoting a brand who in turn support a political party whose policies have harmed BFC’s customer base for decades. Besides their pasties taste like dog crap. http://anotherangryvoice.blogspot.com/2016/04/tory-donors-samworth-brothers-ltd.html?m=1 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samworth_Brothers
If we as people never had anything to do with a business on principle, we wouldn't be left with much to choose from. Everything has faults if you look hard enough.
If we were wanting to be a wholly sanctimonious club, would you wish us to insist upon a completely transparent report upon how our new owners acquired their wealth? Would you wish them to be found to be completely squeaky clean before we continued to support our club? Or is the matter of where our pasties come from more important?
I agree. This place used to be a half decent forum for BFC, sport and general light hearted banter but the sanctimonious political posts are ruining it.
The club is a business, they take money from companies for advertising and that's it. Where does it all end? Do they need to publish a list of companies so we, the fans, can provide a short list of companies who we approve of? Obviously any company owned by anyone with any link to the Tories won't be approved.
It's not just this forum, it's everywhere. Pretty much every major news outlet has a story because somebody is upset that one of the new Harry Potter characters is Asian. People are genuinely upset about it. This is the world we now inhabit.
