I put up with it at the time, but was confused as to why it happened. I'm definitely going to complain about it. I don't know what the FSF(?) can do, but I'll e-mail them before I go to bed tonight.
I've been stopped and searched at Oakwell. I was walking down from the Metrodome and was on the Grove Street path outside the West Stand. I was wearing cargo pants with a pocket about knee high on my right hand side. My Season tickets and around £30 in notes were in there. Unfortunately, I had just been diagnosed with arthritis in my left hip which caused me a lot of pain. To retrieve my ST from my knee pocket I raised my right leg and because of the pain, slightly staggered until I could regain my balance. Suddenly from nowhere, a couple of Stewards grabbed me from behind and stood me against the terrace wall accused me of being drunk and searched my pockets. I had driven to the match and never ever drink and drive. I explained the problem with my hip and invited them to smell my breath, which they did. They apologised for their reaction and I eventually made my way onto the Ponte End to watch the game.
To say they were searching some a bit over the top a lad stood behind me somehow managed to get in with a medium sized bottle of vodka that he was handing around.....
I thought it was a bit over the top when he drove his fist six inches up my bumhole, but I didn't say anything at the time.
The guy did practically rape me. I enjoyed that part. He was swarthy, aggressive and hirsute: exactly the sort of man I like, especially in a public place. It was the wallet-search I had a problem with.
Got searched at Bridlington spa Saturday night radio two clean bandit kid creole Lemar Jackie Graham Gabrielle. Had a pass out to get food. Searched my wallet if I didn't let them could refuse re entry . Apparently searching for drugs?
That would have been my 16 year old nephew and his mate. Thought it would be a laugh to raid the joke shops in Blackpool before the match. Surprised they got it in
But nobody has been searched without consent. People have been offered a choice of search or no entry but that is a very different thing to being forcefully searched without consent
