Davies Cavare Pinnock Lindsay Fryers Dougall Mowatt Potts Bahre Hedges Moore Subs Walton Jackson Moncur Adebayajo Brown McGeehan Thiam
Not sure Hedges did enough to warrant a start to be honest, would still rather go with Thiam or Brown.
I'd certainly start Potts wide, i'd swap Jackson out for Lindsay, then its a question of how we support Moore. Maybe Brown for increased mobility. I'll leave it to Stendel to fathom the best way of unlocking P'boro while keeping them out.
Fair enough, what did you think Hedges did well yesterday? I thought he did a decent job at filling in at left back, however, I don't think he offered much attacking wise. I like him as a player and suppose it could be argued he needs a run in the team. However, he's looked much more effective as an impact sub for us since signing. Brown gets the nod for me currently. And although everyone loves to slate Thiam, he actually had a bigger impact on the game than most yesterday (forced two saves and created one good goal scoring opportunity).
Sure Dougall is suspended on Saturday after picking up 5th booking of season last night so he may do well to play
I'd go something like this. (maybe a coin toss between Lindsay and Jackson). Davies Cavare Pinnock Lindsay Fryers Dougall Mowatt Brown Potts Hedges Moore
Davies Cavare Pinnock Lindsay Hedges Potts Bahre Mowatt Thiam Moore Brown/Moncur If Dougall can play then move Bahre into the Brown/moncur birth and play Dougall in the middle 3
Same team that started season minus Bradshaw of course: Davies Cavare Pinnock Lindsay Pinillos Potts Mowatt Dougall Thiam Moore (Hedges/Bahre/Moncur?)
Potts is better in a more central role. I think Dougal & Mowatt deep & fullbacks pushing on is our most effective. That makes Hedges inclusion more difficult. As he's coming back from injury I'd be surprised if he starts again. I think Brown or Thiam may get the nod.
Agree with that especially the bit about slating thiam moore misses two sitters from.inside the box nothing. Thiam misses loudest oakwell got last night with moaning soon as he gets the ball people are waiting to get on his back. He didn't have a great game by any means and his desision making is poor at times but like you say forced 2 good stops and put one on a plate for moore.
I expect better from a player that cost a million quid. I also expect him to hold off players and not let opposition players just brush past him given his size he should be giving frank bruno a match
I also expect a player who cost 700k to hit the target from a sitter. I expect our other 1million pound man to be in the 11 but he isn't good enough I expect better from many in those low lights. Jackson should lose his place just on how easy their man does him in the area lucky he can shoot for toffee.
Bob on . He needs to stick with the side (minus Bradshaw obviously) that smashed Oxford , Rochdale and Bradford . Seems to me that he's falling into the trap of giving everyone a game to keep the squad happy . Last night's result and performance has been coming for while .
I also expect better for a million pound but I don't think that's a reason for the player himself to receive additional grief - he didn't choose the price tag. And I'm a bit dumbfounded as to why you think players brush past him. Not seen any evidence of that. He is a tad inconsistent and is decision-making can be poor. Which is something which can be said about most of the current squad. However,if he carries on at his current scoring rate he'll be in double figures at the end of the season. Which isn't bad for a wide player.
