.. I find Moore an incredibly frustrating player to watch. Fair enough if he had all the attributes he would not be playing league One with us but , for me, he is too inconsistent. He scores*, yes, and his goal at the weekend was quality, but for a tall guy his heading is wayward. He missed a relatively easy chance yesterday when he was unmarked and didn't even have to jump for a really good cross and headed wide.

Many of his 'head ons' from goal kicks etc.seem to go in random directions and when he receives the ball to feet with back to the opposition goal he often fails to hold the ball up or lay it off to a teammate as his first touch is too heavy and he loses the ball. Admittedly it doesn't help as he is often heavily marked but he should be big enough and strong enough to hold them off long enough to get a pass in.

Decent League One player but not , for me, Championship standard (yet?)

    * It would be interesting when we get the shots on target vs shots to see Moore's conversion rate . i.e. how many decent chances Moore has relative to goals he scores. For me he is not clinical enough (albeit he is not alone when it comes to that)

Before the season started I'd been calling him "UB40" on the basis that it felt like he only got One In Ten chances.
I'm slowly revising my opinion this season, but I agree with you, he can be frustrating at times. And yet, for all his faults, he's our leading goalscorer...

I think they is alot of pressure on his shoulders he is our only forward with any proper league one experience the other 2 were playing in u23s and at chesterfield last season and really shouldn't be called upon week in week out in a side who's aim is promotion. That aside he did miss some good chances last night especially the one thiam put on a plate for him. Need Woodrow fit asap to take some of the pressure off him.

Is that a question or statement? I never said it was, just acknowledged that he did score in spite of his deficiencies in certain aspects of his game to avoid someone accusing me of being too negative.

He has his deficiencies but I think he is our most important player.

He had a bad game yesterday by his standards but keep him in the team and he will score 20/25 this year I think which is good going.

I think he has room to improve too and will do if he puts the effort in.

Didn’t think he played well first half but for me he was our best player second half. Constantly won flick on’s & headed / chested it down to team mates & got us up the pitch

He's big, but he's not a target man. I think we see a 6 foot 6 big strong lad and treat him like a target man, but his best performances for me are always when he plugs that gap between attack and midfield and dribbles the ball. Surprisingly quick and tricky.

Hold up play is suspect but he does win headers from goal kicks due to the height.

I like him, but he'll score a 20 yard screamer more often than a 6 yard tap in which is frustrating

Funnily enough l think he's **** in the air, for his size you'd think that would be his best attribute. Watch how many aerial battles he loses when he's 4/5 inches taller than the defender, and then when he does connect its like he's got a ten bob for a head.

But hes got 7 goals so i'll let him off.

It was a statement made by a former BBS poster that became the stuff of legends.

hi , yea if he was the full package he wouldn't be with us , his finishing is sometimes erratic, if he stays fit he should get over 20 goals , moore is our main asset ,he gets zero protection from refs though , on tues their big lad up front was getting away with far worse than moore .

I think Moore is a key part of our team & for the level we are at he is excellent . Since Bradshaw was moved on , he has had very little support up top & works his socks off . The fact that he misses some chances is testament to how good he is , when was the last time we had a striker who gets on the end of things as often has he does ? Yes he will miss some, but he is not frightened to miss & inevitably he comes up with the goods , top lad is Moore & I feel there are 23 other clubs in our league who would love to have him .
