Just thinking the extreme to make the point, seems a ridiculous decision

Wow. Thought they'd be skint having paid Stubbs off.

I was talking to a St Mirren fan last Saturday on a train from Glasgow. I'd been to Celtic and he'd just seen St Mirren lose at home to Hibs. When I saw he had a St Mirren scarf on I asked him about Mallan who'd played for Hibs. The fan had supported St Mirren for over 60 years and now lives in Dumfries which is nearly 2 hours away but he still has a season ticket. He told me he supported them because when he was a kid his parents wouldn't let him go to Celtic or Rangers so it was St Mirren or Partick and he went for St Mirren. He's from west Glasgow originally and has no connections to Paisley but keeps going. He's a lovely old bloke and I just thought I had to keep checking on their scores hoping they can stay up. Now that Hammill's there I'm hoping both he and Mallan can get a few each at Ibrox.

Yawn. When he was good , he was good, however, when he wasn't good he was very frustrating. Towards the end I saw more frustrating performances than good ones I'm afraid.

I would swap hammill for isgrove, thiam, moncur, hedges at the drop of a hat. He spent all last year defending in a rubbish side and when he picked the ball up he was 30 yards in his own half and folk expected him to take the team on . I lost cont the other night the amount of times we were 1 on 1 wide and failed to get past them or put a half decent ball into the box. Imagine having hammill on the left cutting in and crossing to big Kief in this league if only. As already stated something must have gone on behind the scenes if not then what a ridiculous decision to let him go. Injury free and looked very fit last season which is more than can be said for 4/5 of this current crop of players.

Im sure its simply an age thing. He doesn't fit into the current blueprint. Might be a load of bunkham to us fans who like adam but its how the club is now run. Wont sign anyone outside the desired age range....

The top end of the Scottish Prem is better than League 1. The likes of St Mirren etc have regular players that wouldn't get into League 2 sides.

Have you seen the other players they have there?

    -Anton Ferdinand.
    -Simeon Jackson.
    -Adam Eckersley.
    -Cole Kpekawa.
    -Matty Willock.
    -Adam Hammill.

Whilst I’m not saying all of them are any good, these lot certainly won’t be cheap (rightly or wrongly).

No idea where the money is coming from mind!
