    I don’t think we did really. I engaged in deabte with him and he said he’d get rid of almost all over next 3 transfer windows. I wrote too many words on why I think that’s unrealistic earlier in the thread.

    Should we be desperate to tie them down to new contracts? Well in the same way that Conan starts to froth at the mouth and get over emotinal when we lose, I prob shouldn’t do the same when we win. However, I absolutely would be looking to tie down our better players to contracts.

    IF we do go up, best case scenario some of these players are good enough to step up, we’re competetive. Teams will look at them, at least if we have to sell we’ll get decent money.

    Worst case scenario, they’re not good enough, we go back down, as annoying as that would be we’d have a decent set of players to have another crack at league one.

    There’s a third scenario where we dont go up and have some players who perhaps aren’t good enough on improved contracts and we’ve wasted some money...However, given how much the club were critised for getting the contracts wrong last time, i think it’s a reasonable gamble to take.

    All that been said, I have no idea what the contract situation of any of our players is, so happy to sit back, not worry about it and enjoy the ride that this season is turning into.

    I was deliberating whether or not I should bump this thread or not - and I thought **** it I will.

    This is not me revelling in defeat or saying I am suddenly in the right. Just saying it's a bit **** to point score all the time.

    I don't necessarily think you're wrong, by the way. But this could go back and forth all season. There's no point in playing the victim when you actively court it like this.

    Can we not just grow up?

    Why do we need to know immediately after a defeat that you stand by your comments? We all know what you think.

    What you mean is that you feel the need to use this opportunity to remind people that you consider our team to be crap. And tonight went towards proving it.
