And while Potts' first and Brown's were both brilliant bits of skill, that tackle by Ben Williams was the highlight for me. Can't stop watching it. *Bang* have some of that.
Abso-bloomin-lutely. It was football as I know and love it. Ben Williams take a bow son, best left back performance I've seen in ages in his first league game, I think. Looked a proper footballer, tackled well, got forward, has pace and put some lovely crosses in.
http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/video-potts-2nd-goal-vs-peterborough-0-3.272439/ As soon as he did it, I said 'what a tackle, we might get a goal from this'.
I think it is this one http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/video-potts-2nd-goal-vs-peterborough-0-3.272439/
Thank you. I never saw it at the time as I closed my eyes and looked away as he went piling in like a peregrine falcon taking out a pigeon. When I looked up again Lord Bradley of Potts was just about to pop another one in.
Agreed, what a tackle it was. However, my highlight(s) were Moncur running the length and breadth of London Road to celebrate all our goals. He must have had some right stick when he was there.
Watched that clip about 10 times, not only for the Potts goal but for that tackle. I feel like we need a short loop of that tackle.
I've had it on good authority...from a senior member of the RSPB, that it was the tackle of a kestrel.
You have to tip a hat to Brown's shift of the body. Whilst being happy that Williams' slide in is still legal for now.
He’d probably have got sent off in the premier league, the bloke he tackled would have likely screamed, jumped ten foot in the air and rolled round for five minutes. One of the few benefits of being in tier three, you can still assert yourself physically. Beautifully timed, clean tackle that should never be discouraged, but eventually it will be. He might be some player young Mr Williams. Pinillos has been ok this season but I’m in no rush to see him or Zeki Fryers fit if Ben is this good.
