Fantastic following from Luton fans to say it was a 12 o’clock kick off, on the tele and poor weather
    Well done to them.

Fantastic following from Barnsley fans to say it was 12 o’clock kick off, on the tele and poor weather
    Well done to them.
However - the £10 ticket was sn indication that the support is there but a large percentage of people in Barnsley are so poor that they just can’t afford to attend games.
Really sad this - but it shows how relatively poor the town is.
The ownership at the club have to realise this.

    As for the players.
Ben Williams needs more time - but I think Stendel should keep playing him occasionally.
Moncur shows glimpses but often fails to deliver - he’s just not clinical enough.
Potts is one of the best midfielders in the 1st Division. The people that slagged him off last season were clearly wrong (but we knew that).

    As for the game itself.
We have a great defence and midfield - but the attack just doesn’t click.
How many times do we get into great positions and a BAD DECISION is made !?!?!
Either a shot when a pass was more appropriate - or a pass when a shot is more appropriate.
How many final passes just go astray ???
If we get this particular problem sorted in the final third then we will be flying.
Luton, like many teams this season should have been dead and buried in the first 25 minutes.

Hmm. We scored 3 goals making 7 in two games but conceded two goals at home and your conclusion is that the attack is **** and defence is great?

It's Div 3. Passes will go astray, wrong decisions will be made...

As long as we're hitting the back the net more than our opposition are, I couldn't give a solitary fook.

    Yes that’s right.
Obviously you wernt one of those people that was nervous towards the end of the Luton match.
The fans that I spoke to after the match were all relieved to hear the final whistle.

    Why ?
Because we continue to let teams off the hook - this gives the opposition increased optimism that they can get something from the game.

Yer can bet that Luton went away, like Plymouth did and Walsall did, believing they could have got more from the game.
That’s because the percentage of play we are having, and the number of chances we are having, is NOT being reflected in the number of goals we are scoring.

So let me get this straight.

After scoring 3 goals, people were still nervous in the final few minutes. So this = defence are amazing and attackers are ****?

How does that work? Keep digging Nudge.

I was a bit nervous because of the risk of our defence conceding a third goal not in case our attack didn't manage to smash four past someone again

I don't mind who scores really. If the midfield are getting forward like Potts and McGeehan did for their goals, then they are part of the attack, and by virtue of that the attack is indeed "clicking".

It's a team game and our excellent midfield helps out at both ends.

"The people of Barnsley are so poor they cannot afford to attend games " , what a condescending comment . People of Barnsley with disposable income will choose to spend it how they want , not everyone wants to come to football, but out of all the drivel you have posted, that has to be one of the worst sentences you have ever typed .

My favourite part was poor weather when it was twenty degrees and dry. I wish we played every game in such poor weather. I would take such poor weather when it's below freezing in the new year. Wind was nice and warm. Sure it will have been harder to play football in, but the wind wasn't that strong, just more so than usual.

There's poor people all over the UK, Barnsley aren't the only place that have them, but to me it came across as if most were poor in Barnsley ,they are not.

Quite a few of the poor people of Barnsley who didn't attend the game yesterday were probably sat at home watching the match on their 50" Smart T.V. having paid their monthly subscription to Sky.

Not making excuses but yes it was quite warm but was quite wet until the second half when the sun came out. I think the fact that it was on TV plus it is after all third division football contributed to the attendance. However 12688 is a good attendance and I am sure other than Sunderland and Portsmouth VERY good for this league. If the reds keep on putting on these kind of performances then their league position and attendances will continue to improve.

Our attendance was the largest of any match played in the EFL yesterday.

Hmm. We are the second top scorers in the division, the only team with more have played a game more and we mullered them 4-0 last week. We are joint least goal conceders in the division, the only team equal to us have played a game less.

The evidence therefore doesn't support the fishing expedition.

    Ok
    The weather was perfect.
All the people in Barnsley are wealthy.
The £10 ticket had nothing to do with the attendance.
And Luton wouldn’t have scored another goal in a thousand years.

    Hahahahaha !!!!!!!
There’s some right foooking nut jacks on this message board.

Can you remember the school bully that used to pick on the weak guy - then all the other snidey slimey fookers used to follow suit.
Similar type to what’s on here.

They hounded Hemsy - they think they can do the same to Young Nudger.
    Lol !!!

So you were worried our defence would concede 3 goals in a game. Do you not see what everyone is pointing out here?

I think it's pushing it calling it bullying... you repeatedly make outlandish, completely bonkers statements. Last week you said Leeds was nicer than NYC- do you really not expect anyone to take the piss after saying stuff like that? This week you're criticising our attack when we're banging them in from midfield and up front.

Other people post diverse views and sometimes get shot down unnecessarily for it on here but you seem to be that leftfield it's extremely difficult to take you seriously.
