Then it's time to pack it in. Can't do with some of the negativity on here. Also you can't even have an opinion with some posters, they're right - you're wrong, so go and do one. Grow up people, this is Barnsley not Barcelona.
Well said mate I need to grow up Anyway back to yesterday I said it was a very good advert for league one football. Two teams playing some exciting football.first half Barnsley were a lot better than Luton.second half not a great deal between the two teams
You can slag off BFC, players and owners past and present but woe betide anyone who slags off someone who slags off the club/players/owner?
I was crapping myself for large parts of the game yesterday. Thought we got away with it after an excellent start. That was largely down to Luton. Thought they were poor, lacked any real intensity and failed to take advantage of the problems we were facing because of injuries/ internationals. Anyway - good!
I thoroughly enjoyed it! Myself and girlfriend are on our holidays in Turkey....found a bar in marmaris ....which put the game on for us and a lady from wosboro with her two small kids ...with replica shirts on. Pub grub ...few beers and a great performance with 4 main lads out injured. Oh and helped lad who ran bar win over a hundred quid by getting on mstch..with insider info ...Potts to score and 3 or more goals! Really enjoyed ourselves...well done reds...3rd and a game in hand and the goals keep flowing!!
Why would anybody want to slag anybody off is beyond me though? ommenting negatively on someone's performance is not 'slagging' anybody off if its just saying they had an off day.Its a forum for fowks opinions if there wasn't any negative ones we would probably be pushing for europe. Its just that a few take it too far with comments on the players and others get nasty and personal if their opinion is challenged.
We played really well first half, and will have impressed any watching neutrals (and worried upcoming opponents). Second half the upcoming opponents were shown how better to nullify us a bit though. However good we were first half though, we didn’t press home our advantage and get a third or fourth which our dominance would have warranted. We made a poor challenge on half time, and all of a sudden having been completely in charge we have only a one goal lead. However, with Moore up front I think we’d have scored one or two more first half, Jacob Brown ran well but didn’t really get into the game, and with Moore to worry about the centre halves might have doubled up, and so the midfield runners would have had a bit more space I think. All speculation. It was overall a good performance, and a good win. But it wasn’t perfect, and so it’s only fair that some may point that out. We might easily have not won the game. Which would have been scandalous. On another day we wouldn’t have won, we missed chances against Walsall, albeit in a game we didn’t play quite as well, and paid the price. We didn’t yesterday. At one point I looked on the sky sports app during a break in play, after about 30 minutes, and it said something along the lines of ‘Barnsley have been excellent this first half hour, it’s hard to think how they haven’t won every game this season on this showing’. About ten minutes later we started to show them why. Little things for Stendel to iron out. But he will. We’ve four key senior players to come back if you include Pinillos, plus a new centre forward with pace to bring in, and we’ve just beaten a comfortably top half side, likely to be challenging for the playoffs you’d think, without any of them. I can only see us getting better, and if we get much better I can’t see many sides being good enough to beat us unless we have an off day - which all teams have and we will have along the way. I’m looking forward to us playing Sunderland and Portsmouth to gauge how good we are comparatively.
Spot on, that. I was very nervous every time they went forward in second half but we did enough to get the win
