...for Luton disallowed goal. Looking at grass mowing lines the Luton player was marginally offside (about a foot?) when the shot came in.
I think if had he been next to a defender or in amongst the pack he may have got away with it but being clear of any other player the lino would have had a clear view across the line of players and as he could see the last one i.e. the 'offside' player it was clear, to him at least, the player must be offside.

Irrelevant anyway as the result stands but I think the lino did get it right on that one.

Anyone would think we had never had any decisions against us - we have had plenty! And this isn't aimed at anyone on here just pointing it out.

The general consensus on the League One Facebook site since yesterday was that he was onside.

Who cares? Like I said in one my replies, it's in the book. 3-2 to Barnsley. Disallowed goal stays disallowed. Nice to have one going for us for a change.

I think people are making a fuss about it because we benefitted from a controversial decision. We're used to 'big' teams coming to Oakwell in the champ and having the referees' blessing. We hadnt had a penalty at home for summat like 12 months until we were playing League 1

Kieffer's against Gillingham was the first we'd had since Winnall missed his against Bristol City in October 2016.

we have already had a good deal of decisions going against us this season already.... including the chalking off of at least one goal... swings and roundabouts as they say.

Said on the Quest EFL programme last night, he was a " shoulders width offside."
Nearly fell off my chair to hear Ian Holloway say we were a very good team."
Good to see they featured extended highlights of our game.

He actually said "If he's offside it's his shoulder...and can you score with your shoulder".
