    Just seen that he has died aged 67. One of the last of the old school commentators for me and did he do the C4 Italian Football commentary in the 1990s?

    I know he was the ITV commentator when we played Caernarfon away in the FA Cup in 1987.

    But his greatest live performance has to be when he did the voice for Jimmy Greaves' spitting image puppet on Saint and Greavsie, when Jimmy was absent due to illness!!

    Gutted. Football Italia was one of my fondest footy memories as a kid and his style of commentary was great. RIP
