I went to see the under 23"s play against Sheff utd this afternoon & was pleasantly surprised to see Aidie White playing at left back & whats more in my opinion he had a very good game . I know he has been training with us to help him regain his fitness but with him playing today like he did , I wonder if a a contract to the end of the season might be worth it , he certainly played his part when we got promoted before & his experience might be invaluable .

I like him but with Pinillos and Ben Williams I'm not sure he'd get game time. Decent squad player mind.

We’ve already got 3 left backs and he’s no better than them ,the wages could be better spent elsewhere

I’ve thought this too. Basic wage and pay as you play top-up with an agreement to release if another club comes in.

However, with Williams doing a good job at LB, I can’t see it happening now. We’ve Pinnilos, Fryers and Williams.

He’ll be a good influence around the club though and is a good pro. He’s only just turned 27. Happy to help him out though.

Is that the Williams that looked shaky AF and gave away a penalty on Saturday? Decent debut, but he’s not ready for first team duties on that evidence.

The counter argument to that is he's a lot, lot better than them. I'm not suggesting we should offer him a contract because he's extremely injury prone, but he's a very good player when fit.

At his best White would get in our team (in my opinion). I'd take him on a pay per play basis.

It's far too early to say Williams is doing a good job. Some people aren't half jumping the gun with their opinions of the youngsters.

He did well at Posh, and did ok for his home debut against Luton.

Not bad for a 19 year old. Clearly he can least deputise, that’s my point.

You saying Fryers is a better prospect?

Not sure he is better than pinillios on their days seen pinnilos have some good games for us to be honest.

I suppose if we sign him it means we’ll have 3 injury prone first team left backs so there must be at least 90% chance that ones fit at all times.

Seriously though, when fit he’s better than any of our other left backs so I wouldn’t object to a pay as you play deal.

Whatever happens I wish him well, great lad who deserves some luck

I'm saying the jury's still out on the likes of Williams, Brown and Walton. Some seem to think they've already made the grade, which is far too premature.

Fully fit Aidy White would be the best LB at the club, he's certainly quicker and got more stamina than the other three, he links up very well with the winger in front and a good crosser of the ball, having said that Pinillos is a the better defensive full back and with him and Williams coming through I can't see us offering him a deal, as for Fryers I'd be happy to let him go in Jan if there was an offer.

Maybe. But I never said that.

He’s still ok as a back up, as he’s shown. He’s 19, plenty of time to settle and improve.

Same as anything, they need first team games to improve.

That's got to be balanced with not weakening the team too much. We had to play all three on Saturday, which was pushing our luck a bit.

If we were had no back up then yes I would agree but we already have 3 players in Pinillos, Fryers and Williams good enough for this league.
Zeki Fryers if fit and playing to potential would arguably be our first choice left back. But we haven’t seen that from him so far. Cannot write him off, when you consider Moncur and Mowatt’s return to form.

We had no choice. All 3 have shown they can at least fill in when needed. Better than what we used to do - some journeyman loanee.

Whose fault was it that we had no choice. Oops...I'm not starting that one again!

Might struggle to get a period contract anywhere, due to his horrible injury record. Someone might offer him a pay as you play deal. I genuinely hope he has better luck. Always gave his all fot Tarn.
