All short term fixes. Don't get me wrong, I'd welcome one or two to add experience but that could also bring disruption.
Scott Golbourne is on the list, not a bad player at all. We’re not exactly short of left backs though, especially with Fryers nearly fit.
We are recruiting for turnstyle operators I think that job would suit some on the list better than footballer now days.
James Collins and Robert Huth. Thought they’d get a club - must either be their wage demands are too high, or they can afford to be picky.
Lacina Traore. Got him in one of my master leagues on PES a few years back and he was an absolute beast. Taller and quicker than everyone else but I guess that’s not the case otherwise he wouldn’t be on that list huh?!
Have to say I would be surprised if any of the players shown in the OP above, would be on the wish list, of those responsible for player recruitment at Oakwell. Along with many Reds fans, my dearest wish is that the Club are not tempted to let any of our key performers leave during the January window. On the contrary, we could really do with them adding quality to the current squad to ensure that we are still up with there with the pacesetters and they strive to ensure that we are in the promotion mix , come the end of the Season. If they are serious about funding a future tilt at the Premiership, as they originally claimed, we can't afford to languish in Division One for more than a solitary season and then we would need to "push on " once we are back in the Championship. That will require investment. Let's hope it's forthcoming. January will give us a very clear idea of their intentions. For too many seasons now, Barnsley FC has developed the reputation of being a selling Club. To build momentum and retain and attract the fans support and truly improve our " collective" matchday experience, you need to consistently field a winning side. The " Chien Gang" have now got a gilt edged opportunity to reverse the disappointing trend built up over a number of years and hang on to and add to our best players, to ensure that we hopefully see top flight football return to Barnsley in the not too distant future.
The story behind why he’s banned is brilliant. He went to a company called ‘drip doctors’ who give I.V treatment to people to give them a boost. Anywhere Nasri posted on Twitter that he’d been & felt great. Anyway a short while after his Mrs went on his Twitter & posted as Nasri basically saying ‘I’ve been a cheating **** & shagging so & so from drip doctors’. Her & Nasri then split up & hundreds of thousands of people saw the tweets & then to top it off FIFA saw his tweet about drip doctors & as I.V treatment is classed as doping Nasri then got a 18 months (I think) doping ban. You couldn’t make it up
He must’ve done. It seems a long time ago. I think he actually got a 6 or 12 month ban initially then appealed it & had it extended
