Quite ironic really. It seems very much that beige is starting to fade for colour. But I understand its all a bit unsettling for anyone who is male and white and used to centuries of supremacy.

I went from "Sacred heart" primary to being "scared" at big school. We had catholic nuns teaching us - now they were menacing. One claimed to be a karate expert!

Do we still allow king sized beds where they are bigger than queen size? Is that not royally sexist?

Do we still allow king size anything?

As daft as it sounds the powers that be are trying to push through some legislation amendments that means you can self identify as a woman without the previously required legal dianostics for gender identification

Essentially, Tommy transgender will be able to identify as a woman via a simple self declaration.

The problem is, the only people’s rights it’ll infringe are those of actual women.

Complaining about a box of tissues being sexist...a bit stupid.

Complaining about someone complaining about a box of tissues being sexist....very stupid.

Complaining about someone complaining about someone complaining about a box of tissues being sexist....probably stupid too, but come on...get a grip, the brand name of a size of tissue is not sacred. Nobody is speaking on your behalf, nobody is forcing you to act in a certain way or deciding how you should think. They're just,... you know...changing the name of a box of tissues.

Nobody is forcing Kleenex , they're making a marketing decision to update a 62 year old brand based on some negative feedback.

Every day I find my self becoming more and more anti-anti-PC Brigade. It's turning into a battle between the easily offended and the easily outraged to see who can waste the most time and energy on things that have little to no impact on their lives.

The OP started a thread because he was offended by a change in the description of tissues. You'd have to be extremely narrow-minded and sad to take offence at that. He used the word sacred which pertains to religion. Maybe agnostics and atheists blow their noses on their sleeves. Whatever, with all the **** going off in the world someone finds the description of tissues something that needs to be highlighted the most.

Agreed...that's pretty much the point I was trying to make. I'm not the best at interpreting tone on forums, have you quoted that part of the post because you agree or trying to point something out I may have missed?

It wasn't the OP who was originally offended by a description of "man size".

That privilege falls to whoever had nothing else to do but complain about the description of "man size" tissues in the first place.

The OP seemed to me to despair of a creeping tide of unnecessary political correctness.

In other words, it was not so much the OP taking offence, so much as his weariness of yet another group of saddos wailing indignantly about nothing much at all..

He may however have just been posting in a glib sort of manner. I suspect his motive had no religious undertones

I don't give a toss, but isn't 'Mansize' a reference to what they are designed to be used for?

PerSON, are you intentionally trying to incite us now? Son clearly refers to male offspring, you’re a disgrace.

My thoughts exactly - I didn't care before and I don't care now they're changing it - much bigger things in life to worry about than the name of flippin' tissues - like you say you wouldn't launch it with that name now though.
