I wouldn't just assume they'll allow pay on the day based solely on numbers sold. Sometimes numbers are restricted for other reasons i.e. reputation.
On the Charlton website it says that the away end is sold out but perhaps that just means they have given us the tickets and we haven't confirmed how many we have pre-sold?
It's very good but I'm surprised it isn't more. We were 'Sold Out' last weekend, presumably of the initial 1,025 allocation. That means we've only sold 272 since and a lot of people were saying they hoped we were getting more because they wanted to go.
Don't forget it's Shrewsbury away on Tuesday, some may prefer that and some might not a long trip to London, it's still an excellent support.
A mate who works for the University of Greenwich offered me a ticket for a fiver but unfortunately I can't make it. He said they get offered cheap tickets once a year by Charlton and this year it's us. Sounds a bit #teamslikebarnsley but it's a bit frustrating I already had something else lined up when we're playing so well and it's so cheap.
Very good support once again I agree. I did also think we'd end up taking more though to be honest after the initial allocation apparently went so early. Every man and their dog seems to be travelling down tomorrow so I expected around 1600 pre-sales... still great numbers though. London trips are different aren't they... it's a long way and for many that will be unattractive but it's also a totally different experience and I know a good few who always prioritise trips to the capital.
