........ not in the way Patrick managed loan players at the club. But loans can be good if the intentions are to buy them. Bähre this season. But we missed two quality players last season that we should have secured. Ollie McBurnie Harvey Barnes At some point if the club wants to be successful then they will have to bring this type of quality in.
I agree with the sentiment Nudge but in reality we had absolutely no chance of making the Barnes and McBurnie deals permanent.
Im glad weve got away from Crynes horrible loan model. Bringing players in to get them fit again or giving them game time over our own youth players drove me mad for years and years..... much happier with the way we have binned off the loans. Pity we dint sign a few more players in the summer tjo as the cracks in the squad are beginning to show. Lessons must be learned....
Do you ever stop fishing? With the amount of ***** you keep repeating over and over I’m convinced you’re a parody.
Nar. Just watching Sky Sport West Brom - Derby. And much talk is about Harvey Barnes. And watched Sky when Swansea are featured. And thought - what a team we would have with these two in the team. Unfortunately they never played in the same Barnsley team.
And another we should have got that’s making news tonight - Lolly. What yer can do with: 1) Ability to identify young talent. 2) Ability to secure their future at Barnsley. Recent history has shown, with the number of great young players we have had at Barnsley, that we should be a very powerful club by now - if only we had just a bit of money to be able to secure some of these players contracts at Barnsley Some great talent has trickled through our fingers
To get these types of players we have to try to buy instead of loan. Once the player has shown his ability. His true worth is known and sometimes to our cost, We then can’t compete. Swansea I believe we’re never looking to sell Mcburnie.
I don't think you understand how a football club works, more importantly I don't think you understand our position in the football pecking order... Or maybe you do and you're just pretty good at thinly veiling criticism?
Oh I agree. Barnes and McBurnie in our team last season would’ve been brilliant to see, we would’ve been nowhere near the bottom. Never in a million years would we sign either on anything but a loan deal though.
I've just copy/pasted the opening post to chien_lee69@hotmail.com. He foooooooooooooking thankful for the message and is giving it due fooooooooooking consideration.
Us signing Oli McBurnie would be like Aston Villa signing Lukaku... neither the financial ability (without breaching FFP) nor pull to attract a player of his calibre on a permanent.
I would say they are expensive now. But a few £££ million invested last season would have secured two players that would have more or less guaranteed promotion - while also doubling their cost value.
We. Can't. Invest. That. Kind. Of. Money. Just because our owners are as rich as Scrooge McDuck doesn't mean Barnsley Football Club are... I strongly suggest you go read up on FFP rules, save us all a headache next time you decide to post.
