He also pulled off a superb double save in the first half which went a long way to winning us the match , people want get off his back & regarding him dropping the ball , its because he was fouled or doesn"t that matter ?

Think I've been to a different game. Over-run? Not really. Bristol Rovers were lucky to come away with 1-0. Stonewall penalty on Potts at the end. Didn't take one leg, took both.
They are the poorest team I've seen this season. No quality, and spoiling tactics all over the pitch.
We weren't good, but we were the better side.
I have no idea what the tactics on our left hand side of the pitch were, as we had no-one in front of Pinnilos. Both Moncur and Thiam seemed to stray into the centre. A better team would have hammered us down that side, but when they took their no2 off, they didn't bother us.

Bahre looked a yard of the pace first half but thought he was much better second half .

Aye, I thought that too. If only we'd signed a tricky right footed left winger to occupy their full back, create a few chances, take better corners than today's lads, and pop a few in himself. It's a shame that the powers-that-be thought "there ain't nobody available" in the summer...….

Bristol had n the best of the first half after we’d scored, but I thought we were comfortable second half.

Davies didn’t flap at the cross, he’d pretty much caught it before they knocked it out of his hands I thought. Good double save from Payne and sharp to keep the mishit cross out as well.

He’s had a shaky spell but I’m not sure there’s too many better in this league overall. I’d wager fifteen or more of the sides would love him in their team.

I went today. We were poor and the game was rubbish. That said Davies did nothing wrong and made one fine save.
Likewise I'm at the point where I'm fed up of some of the ridiculous statements made on here and have just about given up on wanting to post any longer.

If it had been any other day, we could (and maybe should) have won at least 2-0, so I fail to see why it was 'lucky' just because it was only 1-0.

Davies did nothing wrong today, he made saves when needed. We were poor as a team but I thought we were better than Bristol who were awful to watch.

This is where we keep tripping ourselves up though isn't it Mario.
Against the so called 'teams like..' (and lets not get into that argument eh lol), we continually let ourselves down and its happened in all the years Ive been a fan.

I don’t think anyone is kidding themselves that today was champagne football but having been treated to 4-0 wins home and away and some fabulous goals and performances along the way army we a bit precious if we are demanding the highest standards every week.
Today I saw a Barnsley team keep plugging away inspite of not having it all plain sailing.
I thought Bähre personified what we are about with his performance- he had a spell in the game where nothing went right for him - making a few mistakes and losing possession but he didn’t hide and kept looking for the ball all game. I think he got a decent hand when he was eventually subbed.

This in spades. First half Bahre was really quite poor on the ball. Numerous errant passes and and times was dispossessed due to dawdling around the box. Never stopped putting in the graft without the ball and never stopped looking to be involved when we attacked. Shows a terrific attitude if you ask me. He was much better after half time.

I agree with that. Got better as the game went on. As the season goes on his team mates will get more used to his continental way of thinking, with the nouse he shows. Championship level inteligence already. Doesn't like the long ball. Always looks for a simple pass. I remember one instance yesterday he had two on him and lost them with a sidewards shimmy. Just wish he would shoot more and chip in with a few goals. He doesn't always look confident enough shoot, so passes when it's easier to have a go himself.

If we hadn't hit the woodwork and had a stonewall penalty turned down at the end, we could have been talking about a much more comfortable 3-0.

People are wanting to stop posting because someone has a different opinion. Sums this board up at the minute.
