many years ago I was driving back up to RAF Kinloss (Scotland) after visiting my Mum in Hoyland..... long old hau. I went the east route up the A1. Driving over the moors north of Newcastle going on for midnight was very dark, very desolate and very remote. Suddenly ahead I saw a young woman walking along the road hitch hiking, she was very very beautiful and quite scantily dressed for the time of night and the time of year. I thought I would pick her up rather tan let her be alone in this very bleak place. She thanked me and said she was on the way to Edinburgh, after that she was very strangely quiet... I thought little of it assuming she was tired and bit cold, but I could help glancing at her and thniking what a stunning woman she was. Suddenly she turned to me and asked in a very sultry voice " do you believe in the occult?" ... " No not really " I said..... " do you believe in Witches and Witchcraft" she ventured. " Errrrrm no ..I don't think so " I stammered. She then caressed my inner thigh and strangely I TURNED INTO................ DUN DUN DUN ......A LAYBY I'll get mi Coit
Do you live harrogate way mate? We once drove through a cloud of fog at Spofforth in the early hours. Everyone in the car said it took shape of a bloke on horseback. I can't say I've ever seen a ghost, but that was proper eerie.
Once knew a bloke who said he’d screwed a ghost. I said “your the first bloke I’ve ever known to make love to a ghost “ He said “ya daft wassack. I said goat not ghost” al get mi coit.
I sometimes go through there on my way home from a match and will look out for him next time. Was it on that sharp bend next to the castle ruins? That’s a fairly spooky place
If your driving from Harrogate on Wetherby road it's the sharp right before you get to the village. You can turn off there to kirk Deighton.
