    Popped in very briefly earlier. Saw Pickles but not Clamps. Love Clamps pork pies. It was only a very brief visit and didn’t get chance to fully look around though.

    In the just closed market, they appear to be merged into one - but I must admit, I like my pork pies from them too.

    Clamps not doing hot meat anymore. Used to get some hot roast pork with crackling from there.
    Are the stalls smaller than they wrrein the old market

    There's just been a piece on the late night BBC's News bulletin. Sailor Sid was featured and
    was very complimentary about the new set up. Dickie Bird was shown looking for
    his favourite butcher so he could buy some belly pork. Overall it looked very impressive.
    My wife and myself will definitely be taking a look real soon.

    It looks great. It should help with barnsley councils ideals of keeping everything in the late seventies when tat markets sold 5 items a week.
    The council and the markets are way out of date and once the novelty and a generation dies off, our kids will be lumbered with a second rate obsolete facility.

    What is second rate about it?
    How is a large undercover town centre Hall an obsolete facility? The market stalls are wooden and can easily be removed.
