.."After scoring, Demarai Gray (Leicester City) was shown the yellow card for excessive celebration.(Gray removed his jersey to reveal an undershirt on which the words 'For Khun Vichai' were emblazoned ").

Given the circumstances, with nothing political or provocative on the undershirt, surely the ref could have either had a word or turned a blind eye. So a yellow for that counts towards a suspension in the same way hacking someone down or dangerous play does. Crazy!

More added time 2nd half than 1st didn't get that let sarfend time waste for 87 minutes. I wouldn't let him ref my son's game under 8s

Meanwhile at oakwell a Southend player makes a foul throw and ref lets him take it again.
    They are beyond criticism

He was awful all game with his decision making but this was a straight foul throw that he blatantly flouted the rules

How the Southend keeper didn’t get booked for time wasting I’ll never know. And their player putting his head into Thiam’s. Not a head butt as such but the rules are rules aren’t they?

Unbelievably bad performance from the ref. But why am I not surprised.

The Thiam incident was typical, their player shoved his forehead onto Thiam`s nose/face, if the situation were reversed our player would have a straight red.

Worst ref of the season by some distance today. That non foul throw was the brown icing on a turd-encrusted cake

The ref was horrendous. It needs sorting out because they're not even getting the easy decisions right.

We had a debate on the way home re. The ref, and we came to the conclusion that last weeks ref. won as the worst since Willard.

Didn’t Thiam lash out at him in the first place though? That’s how it looked from where I was, so fair play to the ref for brushing the whole incident under the carpet.

He was pathetic for penalising Cavare for a foul throw, then letting them have a second attempt at theirs though.

Referees are like pot holes - they get worse every year but nothing ever seems to be done about them

If it had stayed 0 0 the ref would have booked him in the 90th minute like they always do. Let it go on all game then a meaningless booking at the end.

Yes, the guy had lost control of the game. Standard of refereeing is abysmal

Stuff like that must be awful for the ref. He’ll no doubt feel like he should let it go but he’s got to give the yellow or he’ll be marked down

He definitely would’ve done. I said it to people around me after he started doing it right from the first minute.

No referee in the football league would have the bottle to send a goalie off for 2 yellows for time wasting therefore they just give the 1 right at the end so it doesn’t put them in that position.

Let’s hope we don’t have this ref again for a while.

Totally unfit could not run and spent most of the time talking to players, when they subed in the 2nd half the game he stood for a couple of minutes while he finished a conversation with their North 10
