I suspect you are 100% right. However all this moral indignation and calls to ban the product, as usual ignores the workers who rely on the industry for their livelihoods. Greenpeace, as usual want to shut it all down but where is the 'Exit plan'? This smack of hypocrisy from some on here who bemoaned the fact (rightly) that the pits were closed leaving thousands of people without any real alternative to use their skills and who ended up in low paid service industry jobs, call centres etc with whole communities decimated. The same would happen to these workers and cattle farmers and farm workers all over the world if Greenpeace got their way with banning/reducing meat and dairy production not to mention fishermen and fish processing workers in regions of the world where there is little else to do, It is absolutely right that the environment needs protection and too little too late seems to be the norm but too many protest organisations like Greenpeace campaign but don't offer any practical plans for viable sustainable alternatives that protect the indigenous population.
The advert appears to me to seek to stop further destruction of the forests. That will put nobody out of a job. Anyway, Iceland luxury mince pies are palm oil free but are so good that Selfridges are selling them. I've eaten a dozen so far in my attempts to save the world
