The truth is I have no idea, but at best an established Championship side. I think it will be hard to do a Bournemouth TBH. We can dream.
Paul Futcher , God rest his sole , what a class act he was , loved watching him & to think with all the money in the game today, he ended up as a postie at Holmfirth .
I think it's quite plausible to do a Bournemouth. I just don't see why a bunch of super rich asians etc would buy a middling northern club to leave them as a middling northern club and rake in a couple of mill here and there in transfers. They've got far better things to do with their money.
I hope that you are right. I think the money that is thrown at this won't be the way they will go in the medium term. Burnley have done it the right way, but it has taken a lot of ups and downs. Other teams have thrown money at a project, like Hull City & are now a totally busted flush. I'd like to see us stabilise in the championship & start to hold on to players, at least till we can get £10 million for a player, instead of £1.2 million. Improve the ground, our brand & keep building the ethos & supporter base. After that, we might be ready?
My guess would be about the same. We may be in the championship but lower end or top end of league one.
