Facts dont back it up though and thats what Opinions are great but they arent fact. I think facts disprove your opinion unfortunatley. Hes played 2 and a half decent games during his tenure with the club, obviously when he was fit, the fact that he never is fit doesent mitigate his poor performances, just highligts hes a mediocre player when hes fit and useless to us when he isnt. Id say hes probably the most overated player weve had in the last 15 years.
Well , I was respecting your opinions because thats what debate is all about, but how on earth can your opinion that he has only played 2 and a half decent games hold any credibility ? & again , you say he is probably the most overated player we have had in the last 15 years , well thats your opinion not a fact but crikey , if you put him as the most overated player we have had in 15 years then I can only assume you have not seen many games .
Name me his good games. I can, 2 against walsall and half in the play off final. Important games yes but shouldnt buy you a living forever. I can remember just a few games before the play offs, home to Chesterfield, substituted at half time, looked like a schoolboy agaimst men. I see most games thanks. Lets see whos right then between now and the seasons end. I actually hope im wrong but cant see it like.
My opinion & your opinion differ thats fine but no one can offer up their opinion as fact , however , if you read my original post, I was highling that a footballers career is short & I was hoping that Lloyd gets a turn of fortune on the injury front , who is right & who is wrong does not come into it , I just want the bloke to have a run being injury free & thus igniting his career & hopefully this will give Mr Stendel another option on the playing front.
Name me his bad games. I'm pretty sure most of the second half of the Promotion Season he was fantastic. Wigan away last game he was superb - JPT final he was also very good. That's 2 further games without thinking. I don't think you can say anyone who had a major impact during those 4 months were poor - we had 13 or so regulars who all contributed to the promotion. Having said that, he has been a major let down since and he was also pretty poor the first half of the Promotion Season until he got up to speed - but he wasn't alone in that.
You seem to be getting confused between opinions and facts. It isnt a fact that he only had two and a half good ganes, its your opinion. By the way didn't he get the man of the match on his debut which clearky wasnt any of the gakes you mentioned?
So it's two and a half years since his last good performance. His performance against Burton last season was abhorrent. What's he got now? Ten starts in 61 league games?
I bever said he had been ace, i never said he had been poor. I didnt give an opinion on the matter. You did give an OPINION however and pretended it was a fact even though it was factually incorrect.
I’ve always thought his hair style didn’t suit him. It’s too floppy and effeminate. I honestly believe shorter hair would give him the appearance of being more athletic and menacing. But hey ho - that’s just my opinion.
Perhaps he doesnt want people to think he looks menacing? Its a strange person (in my opinion) who sets out to look menacing.
Well I look menacing - but in reality probably softest bloke you’ve come across. Other than BigLil of course - who is also a big un. And then there’s them blokes that look all cuddly and sweet like Gally. But don’t turn yer back on him- especially if you owe him money.
I think he's been a complete waste of time since we signed him permanently - I never said otherwise. I was just pointing out the revisionist history when people say he was never any good and we shouldn't have signed him. It was a tremendous signing when it happened - it's just not worked out at all. It's obvious injuries have essentially ruined his career. I don't constantly knock one out over his medical records though.
To say he had two and a half games for us in his first spell is frankly ridiculous. He was a big part of the promotion side. It's equally true his contribution since coming back to the club has, so far, been non existent. Why can't both be accepted instead of just slagging someone off. The two statements aren't mutually exclusive.
It wasn't a tremendous signing at all. Between the play off final and us signing him he played one competitive game. Had he even played in the championship before? As for the last comment - sums thee up.
Of course it was. A key member of our promotion winning side joining us on a permanent deal to play under the manager he excelled under. He'd obviously only played Under 23 football at Southampton, but as a young player many were confident he'd make the step up to Championship football, like many of the promotion side had already done so. Beacause of your favourite Plan/Spreadsheet, we have never been able to sign anyone under the age of 30 who has played 100 Championship games on a three year deal - so signing someone who did well for us previously was brilliant. Blokes who claim that he was a bad signing in August 2017 are talking wet. As I've alluded to previously - he's been a spectacular failure. But I'm comfortable giving out praise as well as criticism - something you are seemingly unable to do. I'll even re-iterate that point if you like.... Lloyd Isgrove has been massively disappointing since August 2017 for Barnsley Football Club.
