Implosion of the tory party imminent. Johnson, Rees-Mogg to the rescue which will put us al in a huge pile of dog dirt for the foreseeable future. This country is ******.
Looks like everything is imploding with the Tories, I’ve got a feeling there will be a vote of no confidence for May and a leadership challenge with potentially a snap election called
Things..... can only get better.... I fear things can actually get much worse, but I guess we’re about to find out.
I can't see why a GE would be called. Why would the tories give up power voluntarily? This Corbyn notion of the tories stepping aside, when labour have the self same issues, makes no sense either. It's an insolvable puzzle. Only route is go back to the people and give them the choice. Esther McVey now resigned, which was expected.
One of them is incompetent, the other willing to assist members of our nation into abject poverty! Remember, it's apparently undemocratic to ask the people again - oh, hang on a minute ...
But how many votes , referendums , elections are we going to have . The 'hard' brexiteers would have taken any kind of Brexit before the referendum but no, now they want 'their' idea of a perfect Brexit . It's impossible to please everybody . Ever decreasing circles .
I can't see how anything can get through the commons. The maths just doesn't work at all. So on the basis that nothing can be ratified, it has to go back to the people to generate the outcome that it wishes seeing what the "deal" would actually be.
I agree , I don't think the current proposal will get through the commons , but also I don't think any proposal will get through the commons . Another referendum will take us back to square one . There has to be compromise from all sides to get it through and that's where it will always fall down . In my opinion we should just crack on and see if it works and if it doesn't well then we just hold our hands up and rejoin the EU . At least we gave it a go .
But the so called "meaningful vote" would prevent ratification in the commons anyway. Deadlock. The people started this, the people finish it. However messy it is, however different or similar it is to the original vote. Once its gone back to the people, some may disagree, but I think everyone would be in the agreement that the final say has taken place.
First two options could be correct....no snap election though, it needs too many MP's to risk their futures to support one.
Every single one of them that wanted it (and was put in a position to achieve it) crapped themselves when they realised what it actually meant.
Yes but now are safely able to say when it all goes tits up that they didnt agree with this approach when you get Davies and Raab who were given the job resigning then saying its been done wrong you have to wonder how much brass is in their necks
they became Remoan puppets, unable to enact a proper withdrawal with any punch whatsoever,so we end up with this shambles of a compromise. If the EU are that unwilling to compromise. No deal for me.. Like dealing with a set of dictators.
