Gove cancelled his diary for the day. Mordant expected to resign.

May to give her statement to the house in quarter of an hour.

Yes I would because there’s more issues than Brexit needs addressing . We need to scrap UC to start and end this shameless homelessness.
I think he would end the inner privatisation of the NHS and things can only get better lol

People praying for Corbyn... Never gonna happen, he hasn't got enough support to win a general election.

Who told you that ? The Sun ? Mail?
He had no chance of winning the labour leadership remember! He had no chance of getting anywhere near the Tories in the election remember.
He has more support than the media give credit because they’re bricking it fir their tax dodging

Probably true. If Corbyn doesnt get into Number 10 after all this Tory shambles theres clearly a problem with the UK electorate. Masochism maybe..?

If you take time to tot up the potential seats he has a chance of gaining, and you can see he can't generate the seats to lead a majority. Scotlands shift was the game changer. The wooly opaque Brexit position and stance of 6 tests that his own position would breach don't make him electable in the tory heartlands, and seeing as there are virtually no lib dems left, labour can't fall back on swings from lib to lab. By declaring war on centrism, he wins higher votes in the areas that are already socialist labour, but wont pick up seats in the areas that are required.

Labour only have 257 seats. Well short of a majority of 650 MPs.

I agree the Scots Nats have made a dint in possible seats but I think Lib Dem’s will gain seats from Tories this time as tactical voting is more fashionable as last elections proved.
The Lib Dem’s were blamed for Tory policies last two elections but I think younger voters who are pro Remain will tip the balance in swing areas imo .
For the forseeable future large majorities won’t happen imo for whatever party takes the reins .

The size of majority isn't relevant if a party can't gain a majority at all. And Labour can't having lost the Scottish vote.

He conned the students into voting for them with the writing off debt issue, whether you believe the 'misled' bit or not, it will have cost him votes in that area. If he couldn't win last time, their flip flop approach on brexit won't help them. I'm sticking by my prediction that he hasn't got the support. Either way I won't be voting for either Labour nor Tory.

Then imo the Scots Nats would form a coalition based on a second referendum on Brexit with Jeremy Corbyn as prime minister .
It wouldn’t be a cosy relationship by any means but the naysayers and Corbyn dismissers who keep saying he can’t be pm will realise there’s more than one way to skin a cat.

Having called so long for another stab at a GE, if he were unable to win a majority, his position should be untenable. I think the chances of SNP, pro EU, and Corbyn, anti EU his entire career, forming any form of coalition is somewhat slim. And as currently, it still would not form a majority.

So that would see Corbyn go back on his stance that he would not form a coalition government. Labour getting into bed with the SNP It would be even worse than the Tories and the DUP. Which would then make him a complete hypocrite to form such a coalition.

Oh I dont know - it looks quite attractive from here at the moment - not saying I want it but if I had a binary choice either a labour SNP coalition or the current Tory DUP shambles I know which I would pick

I'll add to that a coalition with Labour and the SNP would surely spell the end of Scottish Labour. It couldn't possibly work..
