Was he tired? Emotional? Unhappy? I'm really not sure. Thought he handled the sending off very well. Shuffled the pack and played a great hand.
The main thing I took away from the interview was that despite us winning 2-0 with 10 men against a team with a very good home record he still wasn't fully satisfied with our overall performance. Which i find encouraging. To me he seems a very level headed manager who has a clear footballing philosophy. He doesn't get carried away with victories and he doesn't lay blame elsewhere when we are defeated.
sounds to me like he and players had been getting plenty of stick from the home fans, its very in your face in a small ground ,takes some geting used to
I see where he's coming from. Thought we were ok today, but we've been much better. Passing in first half was a bit hit and miss, and in second half we got into good positions and made poor decisions, sometimes selfishness.
I couldn't go today so i can't comment on the overall performance. Good to hear that we weren't at our best but still picked up a win with 10 men for almost a third of the game. Not been outstanding for 3 games now but kept 3 clean sheets and got 9 points. That seems a very good sign to me.
He's great isn't he - always seems to diagnose it right and you could see how frustrated he was in the first half that weren't pressing and then so happy at the end with how we pressed and managed the game after the sending off. So good to see how he went 4-3-2 with Jacob pivoting around Moore to keep all of their defence occupied when we were a man down and not allowing their extra man to come into play. Most other managers we've had recently would have gone straight to 4-4-1 and invited them on.
