Having watched the film many times now and thoroughly enjoyed it, I'd just like to ask why the players below barely feature. These players for me were as important as many of the players who are heavily featured. This is not meant as a criticism but just a general observation. Martin Bullock - his name was mentioned by Scott Jones and possibly in commentary. Darren Sheridan - not mentioned at all. Steve Davies - his goal against Portsmouth at Oakwell was shown but his name wasn't mentioned (ok I know he missed half the season due to a broken leg). Dave Watson - only mentioned by De Zeeuw for the first goal be West Ham.
Think Martin bullock lives in New Zealand these days. Scott’s innit quite a few times. Think Watty was busy with work at Southampton and now lives on the South Coast. Not sure about Swede (Davis)
Martin is out in Australia Shez we asked but we couldn't get diaries together Davis we talked about but considering his injury half way through that first season it didn't feel like he had a major voice in it Couldn't get hold of Watson It's also worth mentioning that Liddell, Wilkinson, Thompson, Appleby, Barnard & a few more don't feature either. The film is already an hour & forty & we just felt we'd covered enough with what we had rather than it just attempting to get everyone on camera for a short few seconds. Plus, hiring camera gear is expensive!!
I don't know, but we need to blow something up at the end of episode 3 for a grandstand (not literally blow up a grandstand) cinematic finish
Thanks Dyson, as I said, my post was in no way intended to be critical as I fully understand the limitations of budgets and the logistics of including a huge number of ex-players etc
