Why take a left back off and put him there??? Crazy decisions from manager today. I kno mcgheen is garbage but they ripped us to shreds in middle of park when he went off.
As much as we needed positive substitutions I thought the taking off of McGeehan was asking for trouble and left us wide open.
The board got rid of Hammill as he’s not a profitable asset but they’re wrong as with his ability and eye for goal he could have been the difference between playoffs and top 2.. instead we have hedges who is also not a profitable asset cos moving him on for a profit would be neigh on impossible awful awful player
Well it did have one effect-an equaliser 2 minutes after the substitution, and we could have had a couple more. McGeehan left us wide open whilst he was still on the field! Agreed it was a strange decision to move Hedges to left back, Pinillos wasn't having a bad game so it must have been tactical though what the tactics were is puzzling, unless Pinillos was carrying an injury
Footballers can make clowns of all of us. In Hedges case he's done ok when he came on as sub. That's all you can ask for. Unfortunately, he's not been the same player as a starter, but same could be said of others to be fair. It's OK calling people clowns because they have different views to you or me, but Stendel obviously rates him, and he's got us into third place, so wouldn't call him a clown.
