His distribution today was pants couple of times today we had players in space and he choose the risky ball putting us under pressure

He’s too slow releasing the ball, looked easier balls on but left it too late l

Great save at end but he needs to spend less time on wales bench and more time on his distribution. Bloody awful today.

Almost is the key word in that. Players make mistakes I can live with that. Davies distribution will always be his weakness but u though he did well on more than one occasion today. Was quick off his line a couple of times to help out too.

Davies isn't good enough. Simple as. He's 'ok' and sometimes makes a good save which I suspect is why people sing his praises and over-exaggerate his competence. Making an occasional good save is what most keepers do however. We can do better and should be looking to strengthen the goalkeeping dept in Jan. If not, on balance, for me he is a slight liability. I don't want an ok keeper. A good keeper would really give great confidence to the back line. Only my opinion of course.....

Apart from the six or so times he raced from his box to clear up dangerous balls over the top.

That's the issue he does a lot of good things like today where I thought generally he came and swept up pretty well barring a couple of poor bits of play that could of cost us... I like him but I do think if we are trying to play with a bit of pace then a new keeper who can distribute the ball a bit better might be something to look at in january!

He's not been offered a new deal, Stendel must think that's a position that needs improvement.

I’ve criticised him plenty over the past 18 months but he had a very good game.

There was the one heavy touch when he ended up having to blast it into the stand & a second situation where he tried to hit a long ball to Hedges & it went a couple of feet wide but seriously his distribution was pretty good today, hit numerous excellent balls out wide to Cavare & Hedges & a couple of good ones to Moore.

His command of the area was much improved as well, timed it excellently a few times to beat Marquis & May to balls over the top.

I’d say he was our 3rd best player today behind only Pinnock & Lindsay. 7 out of 10 performance at the very worst

He was excellent today & won us a point with that worldy at the death but what I cannot get my head around , is fans saying he has this fault , that fault , he needs to do this that & the other , we are a third division side with third division players , if Davies was capable of doing everything that fans want from him then frankly he would not be here , he would be in the premier league , when are people going to realise that third division players are exactly that , 3rd level & if they are expecting faultless performances they are going to be disappointed .

Excellent today. That save at the end was outstanding.
