Best team I've seen this season.
Organised, hungry, won every second ball, attacked with speed, broke with intent.......excellent performance by them.....operated the gegenpress like we don't do anymore. Credit to Grant McCann for not parking the bus.....oh and a complete masterclass from Coppinger.
....versus our lacklustre performance full of errors. Daniel needs to be given out a few bollockings before Tuesday.

Whats worrying is that 38 year old James Coppinger was faster and more alert to a lot of second balls than any of our much younger players. We were very lucky to get a point. I'd like to know what's happened to our presssing game as it seems non existent and we've adopted a possession based approach. Having said that I wasn' surprised by Donny's performance, they always raise their performance in their first cup final of the season and secondly Grant Mcann coming back with a point to prove, wasn't he overlooked for the top coaching role here in the summer?

We struggle against teams that also push up high. They did well and easily could've taken all points.

Totally agree a bit more quality for them and they would have blown us away .
Some of our players performances were lacking today they didn’t want to mix it .
I thought Donny deserved the three points but the fact they didn’t get them tells me it’s our season .
Normally we would have lost that game but the fact we’re getting points from games we shouldn’t have is is saying we have a chance of winning this league just don’t let Pompey get too far in front imo .
    It’s a three horse race .

Name me a better team you've seen at Oakwell this season? Fact is they always raise their game at oakwell, add to it the fact Mcann had a big point to prove today then it was already going to be difficult but goodness me our performance was bad and some of the mistakes were shocking and bordering on Sunday league standard.

Very impressed with Doncaster very fast and not scared to get forward. We matched there commitment but their speed caused us a few problems today.I feel a lot of the bad passing from both teams were due to the 100 mph speed of the game.Another day we could have lost so I see today as a point gained.Onwards and upwards to Tuesday night at Sunderland.

Out of interest what games did we get points out of that we shouldn’t have?

Meant to put we don’t usually get tbh.
But the Southend , Gillingham , Scunthorpe games could easily have been frustrating ones imo

If Marquis had knowledge of the off side rule we would have been in a sorry state he must have been caught 6 or 7 times at least

Thought Coppinger was his usual classy self and never wasted a pass to be honest and had composure on the ball unlike our players who ran around like headless chickens at times.

Makes you wonder how we created 16 chances to their 10.

They were like lightning from start to finish. Every time they moved forward I expected them to score. Luckily, most times, they tried to pick out an offside player (Marquis usually) or messed it up when clear on goal. Coppinger was their rock, but then again he has been for about thirty years.

I thought they were the best team we've played so far this season too. We were lucky to get a point.
