Pinnock was immense today deserved his mom award.Thought Donny were the better team today but the chances they created and missed gave us a point onwards and upwards coyr
I see the usual culprits of the slag lyndsay brigade are out again , you must have been at a different game , do you not recognise quality in a young player
I was replying to someone on abart Lyndsay holding players and pulling shirts which he has done from Day one of being here, its just an observation. on the footballing side he is good aerially, plays some great balls along with a lot of poor passes. So how you get me as one of the slag Lyndsay brigade baffles me. Maybe thas hed one too many or just looking for an argument.
To be honest there is quite a few who jump to Lindsays defence even when he plays bad on here to some he can do no wrong. I thought he was good today pinnock was mom by some way but he was runner up for me.
Both got done for the goal. Let their lad come between them and pop it home. At least one of them should have done better.
The problem was everyone thought Cavare was clearing the danger but all of a sudden he bizarrely turned back inside, lost it & the ball was in the box with neither of the centre backs having a chance to organise themselves & split between the goal scorer & the man at the far post. 100% Cavare’s fault for me.
If I was Jackson I'd be putting in a transfer request if I didn't get a game at Sunderland. Pinnock deserved MOM. Lindsay goes AWOL if anyone gets behind the defense.
Firstly, he was suspended. Secondly, we've kept 3 clean sheets in the last 3 games with Pinnock and Lindsay grafting at centre half.
I'd take a more nuanced view that Lindsay often made the right decision to attack the ball but Pinnock would be sat too deep, making it look like Lindsay was in no man's land. I like the pair of them but I think they could and should be better organised. Maybe Jackson alongside one of them would help that? Ultimately playing entre half is about partnerships, and you need a talker and an organiser. Maybe our current transfer policy hinders that? All that said I've not seen enough to comment with conviction, and clearly we have been keeping clean sheets, but today's point was based on luck rather than solidity at the back.
Blame Cavare all you want - Lindsay saw the danger and by proxy, so should have both Pinnock and Davies. To let someone get in between them and win a header at 5ft 8 is poor and they should shoulder some of the blame also.
