He was ok in the first half but was awful in the second and should have gone off. Today was his worst performance for us in my opinion. i do agree with others though that there is something about him; he clearly has some ability and will come good.
I think there is a good player in there but he is still getting used to league 1 football I thought he had a pretty decent first half but definitely fell away after half time. Not a great performance but not as bad as some are saying. I thought Potts was worse today which is unusual
Well, he’s certainly split opinion on this thread. I think he’s one of the most technically gifted players at the club, but his decision making - in the wrong areas of the pitch is woeful - and it’s not getting any better. On the whole I can’t see he’s added a lot to the team so far, but with his undoubted ability, he may well yet.
Moncur in two and a half seasons hasn't nailed down a regular first team start. Bahre has played for three months and already ahead of what Moncur was like at the same stage.
Moncur played 2 seasons in the championship. If bahre played in the championship and gifted the opposition 2 or 3 clear chance a game it would get punished. Moncur is the better player imo.
In my opinion he had no influence at all from minute one. Offered no support or link with Moore and no creativity or spark in general play. Gave the ball away far too much in critical areas and isn't a patch on Moncur and wants sending back in may for me.
Not at all, he had bags of time clear but made a mess of it. Having seen the reply there is no way in the world Davies could have got to that cross, keepers can't be expected to get every cross.
I Don't think Bahre has looked like doing anything of note in any game this season. Showed some nice touch's again but led to little. Worse is the fact that him playing behind Moore just doesn't work we end up looking very narrow and Moore isolated up top winning flick ons for no one. Looked so much better at Accrington with 2 up top. For me that's the way to go. So in Jan we need to go out and get another centre forward as clearly the gaffer would rather chance formation than play either of the young lads so that tells me they aren't up to it yet.
Stendell is not really helping Bahre, he is not a 2nd striker playing off Moore, he is not a central midfielder as in a Dougall Mowatt type and he isn't a winger either. He is however a very talented attacking midfielder who would be better suited to playing in a 4141 or 4231 or 352 formation where he can play forward with out having a strict defensive requirement to his game as he would have cover and also would have other attacking midfielders to inter change with, I'm not comparing by any means but a bit like how the silvas play at man City. We change between 442 and 433 and to fit in to this way of playing our ACMs or no. 10s have had to change their style to get in the team ie Potts and Mowatt, others mallan and knasmulner had to leave and Moncur Mcgheehan still struggling to adapt and nail down a first team place in these formations.
Seemed good first half. Maybe we should start him, or Moncur every game and switch them at half time? Both have talent, but lack the engine for 90 minutes. Just a thought and what do I know?
The knives are out for Bähre (note the umlaut) - I think he has great potential and had a good first half - attracts some unwarranted criticism in my opinion. Anyway - he is only on load so we don't have to keep him if we don't want to.
Good player, but gets caught in possession a few times and loses it in dangerous situations. Give the lad a chance, he may learn. Must say though, with a fully fit squad he'd only make the bench if I were manager.
I think he's a very good individual footballer. Can beat a man and drive forward in possession, but Christ he gives me this shits when he receives the ball in our half. As mentioned earlier though, he's another player without a position. He's not a striker, he's not a winger, he's not a central midfielder. As we seem better as a team with two up front then I can't see a place for him in the starting line up when Dougall is fit again.
I still think Bahre is an out and out winger. Bringing him into the middle gives him too much responsibility and leaves things open to chance. I think if we shove him out wide for a few games well see a different player, and if he does lose the ball it won't put us in so much peril.
I agree there looks to be a decent player in there somewhere, but I can’t see where the manager is actually playing him, he seems to be caught in no mans land ,definite lack of structure there
