Fans don’t go around throwing bottles or glasses about in pubs or anywhere, idiots do that. Fans enjoy themselves within reason but above all behave themselves. I would wager that the reason there was no retaliation to the idiots is because there was no-one else of that mindset. I would go further and say that’s exactly the reason the idiots did it to start with. Have you ever noticed that the idiotic counterparts rarely ‘ come together’ They’re cowards as well as idiots. Oh, and I’m not your son. I made a point about not highlighting the trouble so as to not give them the publicity they crave. That worked dint it.

Why don't you go and start one, then? A board without any personal abuse, where you're never challenged on your posts and where you don't have to justify or explain anything you've written. You'd be like the king of the world.

IMO, and not commenting on the OP , there seem to be a few on this thread whose comments are criticising/abuse the OP personally rather than the content of the post. There are a number of posters on this board who do that regularly and a smaller number who resort to abuse and name calling and if someone has the temerity to respond in kind, accuse them of 'losing the argument' or being hypocritical. If you can't take it you shouldn't dish it out. Not sure I agree with YN on some of the analysis, but Tarntyke, for one, seemed particularly belligerent on the thread.

Like everyone else on this board you are entitled to your opinions.
    It is a debate
I find some peoples , not all, replies and hostile attitudes to Young Nudgers opinions over the top
In some cases totally unwarranted and not even anything to do with his post
Come on Admin. Get a grip

you missed out the elephant in the room , we had won the previous two games and a young lad had scored a goal in each game but was left sitting on the bench and brought on after the opposition had scored and guess what he scored , maybe you should spend less time in the pub and concentrate a bit more on the game

Belligerent indeed, I simply asked if there was any need to mention the idiots so as to not give them the time of day. If memory serves Nudger has mentioned in past posts about hooliganism. When I called him a gorpshite it was in lightheartedness rather than being abusive. I thought even YN would’ve got that. Perhaps I ought go into exile abroad and constantly post about immigration issues. Oh, wait a minute. ( deliberate Irony intended)

Perhaps if he didn’t put content in his posts that can be seen as a condescending manner like I was right from the off people might take him more seriously

In all my 50 years i have never heard the word 'gorpshite' spoken. Is this a regional variation of 'gobshite'?

Having revisited the thread based on your reply I was on the point of apologising and then you went and spoilt it with the penultimate sentence by making a totally irrelevant personal dig at me, proving my point that some posters feel the need to personalise replies rather than focusing on the subject matter.

No end product = not immense.

Pinnock was exceptional, Lindsey was a liability.

Without a doubt the funniest thing I've ever read on here.

You take debate, criticism and being proved wrong like an impertinent child

We say gorpshite in West Yorkshire (older end) but it's not as common now.

It’s being proved wrong, or challenged on his views, that he deems to be “personal abuse”. Rather than respond and fight his corner, he just abandons that thread and starts another one.

    Some good points Nudger.

I completely agree about our lack of width, in fact it's a point of debate at the game with those around me. It does reduce our genuine opportunities. I do expect this to change now Woodrow is fit.

I agree about Donny on Saturday in fact I would say that they are the best team we've played so far this season.

I sort of agree about Cavare. Normally I think his weaknesses are masked by his power and forward running but I've always felt that he is a liability defensively. On Saturday they started to target him and he was badly exposed.

I agree about our centre halves, both were good on Saturday, one was exceptional.

Stendel needs more options and I think we will strengthen in January.

i don't agree about the music, Oliver's Army is class and I enjoyed listening to it. I think in general the music played is pretty good.

Just as well I wasn’t looking for an apology then. BTW ‘ personalising’ in a post isn’t exclusively about just being called a name (lightheartedly or otherwise) It can also be about the content of the post. For example people posting content in a well constructed way and bringing in all sorts of links/ sources to try and prove their point, but knowing full well it will antagonise and touch a nerve with certain posters. It has always happened on this board and always will.
