I don't know anyone that does. It's not enough for Donny fans that we've praised them for their part in a draw. They just want to do it to death. **** me, it's like they're talking about Man City. They got a point at Oakwell. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?ur...hare_tid=268002&share_fid=154051&share_type=t
Talking like yesterday was the first time we've struggled against anybody this season. Nowt like bigging themselves up. They should have seen us 1st half at Shrewsbury
Can't exactly accuse them of parking the caravan yesterday, they were up for it. Typical derby/League 1 match up though. We'll get thst consistency once Stendel settles on his favoured XI
I think we all were, but we've admitted that. It's just not enough for them. They want to eat out on it forever. If anything, the result was better for us. They lost the lead and the gap between us and them was preserved, along with our unbeaten home record. One of them suggesting we're in a false position, based on one game, when we've only lost 3 all season, is just bonkers. Can they guarantee they'll do the same in the reverse fixture? Can they chuff! No one can predict anything. . . . . Apart from their grannies, if you cross their palm with silver.
It’s born out of jealousy and relief. They’ve always been jealous of us and they were relieved that the poor Barnsley turned up yesterday. Nobody was more surprised than the Donny fans the way they played yesterday.
I think we’re also incredible, insatiable, and wish we could be invisible, we’d score even more goals then.
While I think they played well and we were poor, their response to it seems way over the top. They're not even in the top 6 and they're acting like they've won the league.
I like Donny. Potentially a biggish club if they can get some success behind them. Big town of 300,000 - with a lot going for it. Airport East Coast Mainline Rail Port Good Motorway Links Flat building land But because they haven’t had even the bit of success that Barnsley has had they suffer even more than us from the shadow thrown by the Sheffield and Leeds clubs. We might be their nearest rivals - but it’s these clubs that are both our real rivals. It would be nice for them to break away from this. They are not our nearest rivals - Donny is on the outskirts of the built up area of the old West Riding. Barnsley is in the middle of it. We are surrounded by other clubs - they’re not.
They are a poorly supported club in terms of numbers. We have more clubs on our doorstep than them. Donny must be at least twice the size of Barnsley. When they got promoted to the Championship for the first time in about 55 years they struggled to get 10,000 home fans in a brand new stadium. The Donny fans I used to work with have a massive chip on their shoulder regarding us. Go on their forum now and you see some Reds fans have posted complimentary things about yesterday, yet some of them think that. We’re giving it the Billy big ******. Apart from the airport, it’s always had good transport links
Got a greyhound track and horse racing course too. Plenty going for them as a town, but the locals just don't want to do watch them.
Let's be 100% clear here. Doncaster were the best team we've had at Oakwell this season by a distance. They dominated large periods and should have won it they could hit a barn door or keep Marquis onside for more than 4 seconds. Truth of the matter is, they get no better than that. That was them at their full tilt, as said so by journalists that watch them every week. We played at about 30% of our capability and still got a point. The table isn't made up of who played better, it's made up of points picked up for scoring more goals than the opposition in a game. Last time I checked we both picked up one point each.
