    Cotterill,
Steve Cotterill, we need to push the boat out and get him in or this could be the worst season in living memory if your 4 months old.

He was and still is a unknown appointment with no record as such to look at to judge him. Why are we playing a forward at right back and central midfielders out wide? Is this how he wants to play or have we not given him the players he needs? Personally I lean towards the latter and think we have overestimated how good our squad actually is.

Why is he playing a forward as a right back? Maybe because he has no faith in the back ups cavare has been poor for ages if he though Williams were good enough I'm sure he would of gave him a chance. As for playing bahre and moncur as wingers it's beyond me I slated hecky for playing moncur as a winger he is no winger. And shoehorning bahre there is daft aswell.

So do we think he was happy with the squad at the start of the season? Maybe he's just learning now how he feels about the squad certainly deserves time. Be interesting to see if we do anything about it in Jan. Because for me if you are playing players out of position you are saying you don't have the players you need.

A change of manager would still have to work with the same imbalanced squad. As for Stendel,he would have known little or nothing about League 1, the Club or the playing staff before taking up his appointment so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with regard to underestimating the way that the squad he inherited was imbalanced. We don't know if he has identified the areas he wants strengthening in the window already and those will be put in to place early in the window. At Hannover it seems his days were numbered as soon as they appointed a new Director of Sport and as the link pontyender posted suggests they weren't hopelessly out of touch with the top three when he was dismissed. January's window will be huge but I'm confident the worst this season will bring is that we're still in League 1 next season. If we're mathematically out of contention for the play-offs before this season ends we can have a conversation about a new manager as Stendel will have failed in his remit for this season.

I'm not advocating that we get rid as well, by the way.

Id like to think people wouldnt be so naive. As iv said previously i think the recruitment department has more to prove than the management at present. Will he be given the funds to strengthen and bring in his own players or will we see another five attacking central midfielders in January?

I agree I hate seeing players out of position he seems to have some obsession with bahre him and moncur are similar both good on the ball neither can last a full game but end product and overall moncur is miles ahead for me, neither are wingers and shouldn't be played there before Potts or thiam. I've enjoyed some of stendels football this season and with the injurys ect he has had to deal with he should be assessed at end of season for me.
