Well you have 4, so if you want another that's 5. Brown has been played up front as well as wide, forward and back. Adeboyejo has been played as a striker.

Whether you think they are good enough is a different issue then completely ignoring they exist. I'd love to pretend Cavare didn't exist, so sadly he's still in the melting pot until we cancel his contract or someone is crazy enough to give us money.

But at least we've clarified you want 5 strikers and not 6.

He'd tear our defence a new arsehole.

    Lets keep him.

If there is any truth in this then get some brass in, because I wouldn`t renew his contract in the Summer anyway. Think personally he is still the same player we bought, little progress from him, still flatters to deceive every now and then but that is it.

I have clarified that I want 3 strikers , Moore , Woodrow & a new signing . The management obviously do not think that Brown is the answer as they are grooming him to become a defender & yes you are right , I do not count Adeboyejo , he simply is not ready & that is backed up by the fact that he hardly gets any game time at all , if he was up to it, he would feature on a regular basis & I do not care if you are an accountant you cannot make my desire for having a total of 3 strikers turn into your theory that I am asking for seven , end of .

You want 5 strikers. One more than what we have. The 7 goals (6 depending how you viewed Adeboyejo's v Walsall) our 2 back up strikers have scored this season were very helpful.

Just out of curiosity, can you let me know how big our squad is and how many players we have in each position? I'm unsure as I've been counting all our players, so now i'm unsure which players are actually players and which should be discounted.

    Terribly confusing.

I hope this viewing of life is merely limited to our football team. Goodness, that would be exhausting trying to fathom what should be discounted through subjective prejudice each and every day.

For my money we have 2 first team striker Moore and Woodrow. The others are young lads and should be in addition to our first team players .

Young lads they may be, they are still in the first team pool and have done pretty well.

we may well add one, but that is going to block off the kids coming through. and herein lies the issue. Everyone wants success today and won't wait. so how do kids breakthrough if they don't get game time? Of course you could loan one or both out, but that's very expensive as we held our squad together largely.

I'd be more inclined to improve the defence and go all out to get a proper captain. I'd sacrifice 4 or 5 of our squad to make that shift happen.

If they offer what we paid then I would sell. He has talent but he plays for himself and goes missing far too often.

If we get a decent offer for any of our players I would sell.

I agree with you entirely & made a point that we need an extra striker to supplement these two , but alas , what is the point . I just get ridiculed & accused of wanting seven strikers so I have given up banging that drum .

I actually agree with you on this occasion. Brown should be in the development squad and Victor should be in the Conference. We need another option.

It's one way to go a full back and a couple of wide men would be good too. The squad is clearly short. No cover for Dougall and Brown has played about 5 different positions.

I asked you multiple times how many strikers you wanted. That's not ridicule. Its a question. Whether you rate players or not, they still exist.

I would be surprised if Portsmouth were in for Moncur in jan but if they were, I wouldn’t be selling. Mainly because of where we both are in the table. George is a weird one, some games he glides past players left, right and centre and the other games, he does nothing. I guess that’s why he is with us and never really made too much of a mark.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s let go in the summer (unless something major happens in the second half of the season with him).

Regarding the strikers, I would say we need to sign one in January. If either Moore or Woodrow got injured for the season now, I highly doubt Adeboyejo or Brown would come in and play every game because they aren’t ready for the role yet. Whether they ever will be is an entirely different debate.

I disagree. When he’s “on it” I’m not sure there’s a better dribbler at the club.

Yes but we have a lot of strikers on our books all the way down to the under 9s. It’s fairly clear (to most) that Moore, Woodrow and Brown (at a push) are first team “regulars” and Victor is a development squad player stepping in due to no one else. I’m not arsed but think you know what he meant. So I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want 1 or 2 more strikers for the first team squad and allow Victor and potentially Brown continue their development in the U23s. Despite his goals Victor is a million miles from being a League 1 ready striker. And Brown is still learning.
