I hope you are right but the way the MP's are carrying on I cant say I have much confidence. They actually have to do something positive to stop a no deal Brexit in March and at the moment nothing gives me any confidence they will do that.
As thinks stand we exit on 29th march - if we want more time we need to go grovelling the the EU now or it will be to late , or we could just revoke A50 and start again once we actually have a clue what we actually want.

If I was a betting man though I would be betting on us drifting without the paddle until its too late and crashing out on 29th March with no deal because that's whats happening unless someone actually changes that.

Without a doubt I think she’ll win, and that gives her another 12 months at least to continue to **** it up right royally, thick skinned isn’t the word!

I don’t know if the other options are even worse though, I accidentally read the comments under a leave EU Page on Facebook, Christ on a bike the comments from average joes supporting Rees Mogg, nearly everyone clamouring for him, exactly the man who’d **** them over in a heartbeat.

This sums what happens in a "no deal" situation. Only Rees Mogg and maybe 50 or so MPs would go along with this (although a significant 35% of the electorate are theoretically in favour, according to the last article I linked on this thread). Within a few weeks the country would be in a state of chaos. One or two other countries, particularly the Netherlands would be very badly hit too, as they are the hub of a lot of our international trade links outside the EU.

It's all looking like a second referendum & us calling the whole thing off.

Mrs May has won the secret ballot and therefore retains her position as PM.

Well I was right about stage 1. We will see about the rest.
Brexit is a minor issue in the lives of most. To solve Brexit you solve the root causes you end the north south inequality. You reimagine society. You provide equality of opportunity. You cap rents. You build social housing you invest in people. You nationalise the **** that should never have been flogged off. You tighten press ownership and limit the bile they spew. Then the desire to Brexit will be gone.

I’d say a GE will lead to a left leaning coalition. LibDems / Green/ SNP make a 2nd ref a precondion of forming a coalition ( Labour can assuage its leavers by saying they are agreeing to it to do all the above). You make that ref legally binding. You take the idiocy of no deal off the table You beg the EU for more time. Remove all red lines. Negotiate Ukraine ++ (more commonly called Norway +) the Q on the 2nd Ref is that or remain. We all go home for tea and to listen to All Mod Cons. A second precondition is electoral reform. You agree that and the tories are pretty much our forever. Jobs a good un.

The DUP suggested prior to the vote that the only thing they would vote against was May's deal...I would doubt the right wing of the Tories would risk a GE.

I can see them abstaining from a VOC and the ERG mobsters doing the same. We will see.

The ERG I'm not so sure about, but Nigel Dodds (since I first heard the suggested notion) said late last night they would vote with the Govt.

Pretty sure the DUP would back the Govt for all but the vote (if it ever happens) on Mays cunning plan
The ERG would have some brass neck to vote against given than a democratic vote of all Tory MP's giving over 63% support to May
No idea how they will vote in a confidence vote on the Govt

Dodds was unequivocal that in any Confidence vote, they would support the Govt.

As I said if it comes to the May Deal or remain in the EU I can see them abstaining.
