Ey up Barnsley 66. How are you doing with your new hip.? I had mine done 24 weeks ago
today and am now managing to get about without an arm crutch or walking stick. My specialist
has said it will be a full 12 months before I feel the full benefit. It's great not to be in pain and I'm really pleased
    with my progress thus far.

Pleased to hear you’re doing well. The difference it makes is amazing and it gives you a new lease of life. Just walking around is a pleasure again.

It’s been about 18 months since my replacement and everything is going well. I’ve been discharged and just told to come back if there are any problems. I certainly could not have done this trip with the hip as it was.

Glad it's made a big difference M8. Through pure cowardice I put off any operation for around 5 years
and towards the end found it virtually impossible to walk any distance which meant I was housebound.
I was amazed as to how easy it was when I finally did go "under the knife", I was conscious throughout
the whole procedure having had a spinal block so as not to feel anything. Like you I have had a new lease
of life and am enjoying being pain free for the first time in ages.

I did the same, putting it off. And like you, it was such an easy operation. I actually fell asleep during the op!

    Enjoy the new freedom!
