according to the BBC the new set of Eastenders , is 27 MILLION pounds over budget!. What is it with big corporations and overspending? How the fk do you even go that much over budget, can only imagine the folk that propose these things just wet their finger stick it in the air , make a number up and hope for the best
Should have just sold the rights to a different channel. Huge expense off the BBC's budget and a massive revenue chunk dumped into that budget too without the viewer losing out one bit
Thats the telly licence up for increase then. Glad I dont pay it. 27m pounds just to numb some minds..
The government brought this in to win votes, then announced they were bringing it to an end and the BBC would have to carry the cost if it were to continue. Those costs equate to the entire budget for BBC Radio.
Telly licences not withstanding The original point was how can they be 27 MILLION POUNDS over budget, was the original guestimate done on the back of a f.ag packet by a dodgy builder sucking his teeth.
87 million quid to watch EastEnders in HD. Cost to replace Grenfell is estimated at £7m. Definitely time to reassess the telly tax.
Yes yes, don't buy a TV etc etc. £87m for one programme and the BBC will try to justify this shameless thievery.
You get pursued, even if you don't legally need to pay it. THE ENFORCEMENT DIVISION HAVE AUTHORISED A VISIT. WILL YOU BE IN DECEMBER 17?
Whilst I take your point, they have to remain competitive, and if that means paying these fees, then so be it.
Need to go for young prospects who are cheap. More of the money needs to go on programmes not presenters IMO.
