This^when it was announced his substitute over tannoy a bloke a few rows infront of me got up cheered and started clapping with his hands above his head like a seal. I just thought what's need embarrassing.
Duntpasstome edited out of his post....... We all love the Dyer family. Janine was great as usual. The problem was the weather so most people will have left their seat to try and warm up, stay dry, go to the toilet, or buy food/drink. They could have had Holly Valance on the pitch recreating her Kiss Kiss video, with her hotter sister Olympia in my avatar stood next to her and I still wouldn't have fancied staying in my seat in that freezing rain.
I'm surprised we haven't opted for 3 at the back, particularly while Dougall is out. Earlier in the season him & Mowatt were staying deep & provided cover for CB's & full backs, at the moment we are exposed down the flanks, where we are also the weakest.
Did they tell anyone on the pa system prior to half time that it was happening? First I knew about it was when she suddenly started singing. Also didn't help that the songs were extremely preachy rather than ones that get anyone going
Cavare is in the same situation has Davies he got no competition. When we address this then you should see a different player. & by the way playing brown there is a joke..
I think both of Saturdays full backs need some decent competition. Pinnock had his work cut out sweeping behind Pinillos. You don't want your centre backs pulled out into the corners.
If we are to persevere with playing a back four, perhaps we should consider two new fullbacks in January. Bearing in mind that neither James Bree nor Mason Holgate are currently making the bench at Villa and Everton respectively, could we get them on loan for the rest of the season ? I suspect we'd have to pay each £8k to £10k a week as 50% of their wages, but they are first and foremost fullbacks who can defend and clean sheets will ensure us a play off place.
We have already got a very good defensive midfielder in Dougall. Unfortunately he was unceremoniously scythed out of a quarter of our season which has had a direct result on the teams shape
It appears Stendel wasn't too pleased with his performance: https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foo...ches-on-dimitri-cavare-substitution-1-9497284
It's not a big thing? It's a VERY big thing. He's utter ***** daniel and you know it. You know it, we know it and other teams managers are even commenting on what a lazy ******* he is. It's a huge problem because we have absolutely no back up other than a young striker to cover for it due to a piss poor summer transfer window
Thing is - he's not a crap player. He's pretty skillful, a decent passer, keeps the ball well, moves forward with purpose. His crossing is gash and his motivation in covering back is lacking. Given the above, do you play Brown? He's not as comfortable at full back. Full stop. He looked great, as a winger, in one match. He looked worse than Cavare when he came on on Saturday. Not surprising really. Cos he is a square peg in a round hole. Having said that, I fear all our recent "breakthrough" youngsters will end up like the recent rest - not good enough.
The problem is how much harm is it doing to browns long term career? A striker who was looking great suddenly asked to be a defender. Why does that remind me of another young starlet we ruined? I think cavare is one of the worst defenders we've had in recent years with an awful attitude. At least poror players in the past have tried but his attitude is one of ''not my problem'
Well if Cavare is as bad as you say, that still does not excuse Stendel sticking Brown in to replace him. Brown even says he asked Stendel if he knew he was a striker. Summat wrong there.
Did brown say that? I hadn't seen that anywhere I can't really figure out just how poor Williams must be. Not playing for under 23s and not even making our bench
I'm still waiting for Brown to say he was taking the piss! I've read his quote more than once. I think it even made the back page of the Chronicle. Williams is young and lightweight. Full back in our team is a fit man's job.
